Looking to jump ship to iOS as an android for more than 10 yrs coming from Poco F1.

I'm eyeing mini right now. Watched tones of review by comparing with 13 mini and similar price range android phone like Galaxy S20 FE and S21 FE. I think I will settle with 12 mini.

Senheng currently selling 12 mini at 2399 for base model and 13 mini at 3099. I checked out the real device side by side, really couldn't tell the difference. By looking at the 2 only the notch size slightly different. Really love the one hand control, just like my old Redmi note 2 with 5.5" screen. Comparing 12 mini and 13 mini, with the price gap of RM700, I really cannot pick 13 mini.

Before anyone mentioning only the 64G storage on 12 mini, base on my usage from my current poco F1 64G, I still have 30G left. I think the 12 mini base model is enuff for my usage.

So, what do you guys think about the pricing? Is it a good buy now, or should I wait for 6.6 to see if there is any additonal promo?

Edit: I check with others user, looks like everyone recommend 13mini instead of 12 mini. Will need to think about it.

Yes, I also see many ppl talks about battery life is significant better. But how significant actually? Most of the report I see is like around 1 and half hour more than 12 mini.
Some even talks about 12 mini battery life is faulty.

200-500mb+ for just a banking APPS?! WTF The size is like 6x more than android apps!
I have few cloud storage like Gdrive, Box, Drop box ..
Usually I will opt for cross-platform apps, let say in the future if I want to switch back to android, it will be alot easier.
A bit danger if just trap into one eco system.
Thx for the heads up, I definitely will take this into consideration. Maybe just bite the bullet, get 13 mini instead.

Yes iOS no sideloading, on android I can do a bunch of stuff, root, install ad blocker, remove bloatware, flash custom rom.
So far the only problem I see is transfering whatsapp data to iOS. Other than that contacts and those I think can just use the "Move to iOS Apps"
13 mini base model is 128gb. no 64G for 13 mini

13 mini is selling at RM3033 after discount, 12 mini at RM2399 but rdy stock.
The difference is RM700
For 13 mini need to pre-oder because all the reseller currently out of stock.

What you get from 13 Mini compare to 12 mini is
- Newer A15 chip
- Better battery life
- Bigger storage 128 GB
- slightly better camera
- Smaller notch, but taller

Few things to consider.
1. The phone out of warranty.
2. You might need to prepare RM399 for battery replacement in the future when it's below 80%. Since battery at 89%, maybe next year you will need to replace the battery. If bloated battery, the replacement cost is higher.
3. Based on all the feedback I received, 12 mini battery life is not good, ur charging cycle might increase, which leads to faster battery degradation.
4. By using 20w fast charging could also lead to battery degradation, because it generates more heat.

Right now shopee senheng is selling 12 mini base model 64G at RM2399.
Let's calculate:
Used 12 mini cost 1500+399=1899
So the price difference is 2399-1899=500

New 12 mini comes with:
1. one-year warranty
2. Brand new with 100% battery

So do you think saving 500 is worth it?

Since u r getting used model, I assume price is ur concern so I pick the base model.

Wao, this is the bestest deal ever. Even used unit also almost this price. Senheng online selling at 2399 for 64g. U really get a super good deal for it. Congrats!
I'm still waiting for me 13 mini to arrive. All the accessories like tempered glass and casing already arrived only the phone. Can't wait.

Finally! The only thing that I worry about is whatsapp history transfer. It's finally here!

Yup, I will not get demo sets / open box set either.
Last month went to machines, saw one of their unit screen had a small scratch mark a nail size.
Others unit have several scratches on the side. Also, the phone is basically plugin in charging almost 24/7.
With warranty or not I am not sure, but I won't judge ppl getting demo/open box unit for whatever reason.

shopee is rm100 cheaper at 2399 for 64g model. They are clearing old models prepare for iphone 14 I think.

The warranty is by cover by senheng only?
Need to check what they actually cover.
last month I went to order 13mini, I haven't even pay yet but already up sell me with apple care.
Just like insurance, 0 cost 100 profit lol.

I feel most of the reseller like sell insurance warranty. Like courts, few years back getting a TV they immediately suggest top up and get extra 2 years warranty andi rmb is quite exp.
I agree, those use it without tempered glass and case. Or dangerous working environment should get apple care.
