Yupp

Saw plenty of good reviews so i pulled the trigger
*
Nice, I was contemplating for a few days because no one bought and I rather buy it from a physical shop where I can test everything first.

But good to know that Shopee seller is legit.

QUOTE(mickeysew814 @ Nov 1 2020, 02:59 PM)
just got to know the blue is called Yves KLEIN blue. can google to know more about this.
*
Nice, it's from an artist but the colour didn't translate well on the phone.

The blue looks better in real life imo but colours doesn’t matter once i put the case on
*
That's true..

QUOTE(tr3xsdcc @ Nov 1 2020, 05:10 PM)
Best deal for chargers and casing guys?
*
I always go with Ugreen.

QUOTE(theWeird_Weird @ Nov 1 2020, 07:04 PM)
Either blue or the white for me most likely 😋
The red this year looks quite salmon on some reviews tho

True, white n black are the safe choice
The blue on ip12 looks quite similar to the pantone colour of the year 2020. Haha

I got both from ugreen. But the case most likely I'll get another from ringke
*
The red is more coral/peach than red.

QUOTE(Starscream666 @ Nov 1 2020, 08:00 PM)
hi guys, ive never purchased iphone online before, anyone has experience in buying from the following, apple.com.my or machines? and is it ok to buy from apple.com.my where to pick it up?
*
Yeah, apple.com is safe because it's directly from Apple but it's only delivery, no pickup because we don't have an Apple store here.

QUOTE(junclj @ Nov 1 2020, 10:54 PM)
apple.com only provide doorstep delivery. If you want to buy online then pick up from store, you may choose to buy online from authorized resellers in their websites. I can provide some of the authorized resellers that will offers pre-order at 6th Nov, and store pick up after 13th Nov. Since Malaysia do not have Apple Store, we cannot pick up our iPhone from any authorized reseller if we buy directly from apple.com. So why not pre-order directly from one of our authorized resellers then pick up later from their store?

https://switch.com.my/

https://www.machines.com.my/
*
Ordering from authorised resellers/premium resellers require deposit like Machines and Sen Heng if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, I'm waiting to see how the Mini compares in this chart before deciding 12 or 12 Mini. If the Mini is can about match the X and XS, that's good enough for me.
*
I'm happy with my purchase, no regrets. thumbup.gif

Only if I can afford Pro/Pro Max, then only I'd consider that.

I'm curious why you're not planning for Pro/Pro Max?

*
Nice, pretty sure you'll 'borrow' her Pro Max to take pics and vids with the RAW and LiDAR features.

*
Yeah, white.

The corners and camera ring is silver that's why I went for white.

What's the difference of the pre order today and waiting until the 14th officialy sells at the retail outlet.  I don't see any benefits ryte? Only point is u getting the device earlier. Unlike samsung they bundle with free gifts for the early birds.
*
Celcom have early bird freebies, not sure about the others.

Yeah but my point of view is, its better for u see the physical device yourself  before purchasing it ryte? Unless u getting a good deal for the pre order.
Does it make sense? Haha.
*
Mainly for bragging rights but some of their devices are dying so that's understandable.

Reviews and early adopters already gave their opinions for assurance but it's up to the buyers, in the end it's their money.

I bought mine last week after inspection at the shop because I want to know what I'm buying.

I wonder what about the preorder for iphone 12 mini.  Most of the people seems to be have more interest on Pro and Pro Max.  Hopefully the mini will have sufficient stocks.
*
This and the iPhone 12 should have plenty of stock then.

yes agree, both the wallet and casing are like overprice..
*
You want to lose your credit cards, go for the MagSafe wallet because it slips off easily.

The case is quite flimsy too.

The MagSafe charger is quite tempting tho.

*
As long as the 3rd party have MFi certification, it's safe to use.

From the comparison, most expensive to cheapest based on normal contract for iPhone 12 (based on 128GB) TCO: -

Maxis > DiGi > U > Celcom

5876 > 5664 > 5395 > 5370
*
Can't believe Celcom is the cheapest, not UMobile.

so how is ur iphone 12 ?? using already?
*
Yeah, already using it.

Love the sharper display.

Aiyo the difference is small, la. Bottom line is, you should choose base on the coverage that is the best at your place, not the price of the phone offered laugh.gif
*
Yeah, but it's good since Celcom's coverage is one the better ones.

I signed contract with them for iPhone 5 bro, it had the strangest behaviour in my housing area. The signal will show two or three bars, but I won't receive any calls. Then, later I will get SMS from Celcom saying I have 7 or 8 missed calls - without hearing the phone ring laugh.gif

I called their CS to explain, and the best they can tell me is my house is in a blindspot in their signal coverage. I asked what was the solution, they said none. Hence, that ended my relationship with them, hahaha...
*
I see, my residential area have no problems with Celcom, DiGi, Maxis.

But I end up using Celcom because my residential area and workplace have good coverage.

QUOTE(dennis008 @ Nov 10 2020, 04:54 PM)
how u find the battery life?? good enough for you?
*
So far, it's fine for me, better than my XS.

I think it's really down to personal reference and needs. But I think if you're not a rich fag and want to spend money wisely, I think buying the iPhone with premium telco package is a bad choice. For example, assuming you're using RM40 plan now, because of the iPhone package, you need to pay RM60 monthly just for the data plan(not including the phone price even tho it's cheaper compared to retail price). At the end you're still paying more overall.

If you don't have the ~Rm3500 cash, you can buy it via 0% interest instalment for 24 months, and use your other cash to buy stock or self improvement. When you get dividend, even tho it's very little, at long term (24 months), you still get your phone cheaper overall, and you can have some cash every month to do other investments: buy books, self investment, online courses, saving fund, insurance, mutual fund, stock etc.
*
Sadly for Celcom, there's no 'cheap' data plan since their minimum is RM80.

I bought the phone outright without plan.

Hahaha, talk about priorities... Anyways, consumer spending is good for the economy so good on them! I've had a muted 11.11 this round, only spent on toiletries and such. Avoided the temptation to spring for another Android phone even though Lazada's last minute RM111 voucher was interesting laugh.gif
*
Yearh, the last min RM111 voucher is good for those who haven't preordered iPhone 12 yet so they get RM111 off if colour doesn't matter to them.

I was tempted on the OP 8T - price was 23xx after the voucher. Wanted to try Android 11 smile.gif

Anyways, decided not to go ahead coz of the timing - iPhone's delayed launch this year is helping me save money, hahaha...

Haha, yeah..
