Just spent 30-45 minutes toying around with both the 12 and the 12 Mini. Decided the 12 was bit more practical for me especially for typing. Also the larger screen estate makes the notch for the FaceID camera and sensor look less comical as it does on the Mini, hahaha. I think the Mini is OK if you’re not a heavy user but if you’re gonna use your phone to shoot videos of your kid then probably the larger screen and the battery of the 12 would be better in the long run.

Thanks bro. Phone still in the box though, just brought it to Machines last night to get my tempered glass. I had previously ordered a Nomad leather case online for the 12 Pro Max but just reached out to them to change it to the 12 instead. So while waiting for that to arrive next month I will get a temporary cheapo case to use first smile.gif

Part of my evil plan to get the red was coz my wife likes red color, so was hoping she might change her mind and go for the 12 and let me keep the current 12 Pro Max I am using, but no dice, she is smarter than that, hahaha...

When I first watch the launch video I was so certain I was gonna get blue too, but after seeing the phones in real life I was immediately drawn to the red. Blue is nice too of course!

Yes, bro, this is normal. The last 20% or so will be slow or trickle charge so that's why it won't heat up that much. Fast charge usually heats up a bit more.

Be sure to remove the case once in a while and wipe off the back of the phone, else you’ll see a ring around the logo that will be difficult to remove after a few months laugh.gif

Not the phone’s fault, hahaha. It’s the casing. I had the Spigen Tough Armour on my 6 Plus and after four or five months that ring was almost permanent hahaha.. managed to finally scrubbed it off with some soap and hard scrubbing, hahaha. After that no more phone casing with logo cutouts for me.

Yes hahaha, exactly. I ordered a Ringke too but the seller sent me one for the 12 Pro Max instead of for the 12. Tragic. Have to live with this first till I get another case. Mine doesn’t lift up my tempered glass luckily. Otherwise I’d also throw it straight to the dustbin smile.gif

The protection is quite good. I've used Ringke since back in the days of Note 5 and protection wise is never a problem. Only concern is the clear type is a fingerprint magnet and you can easily see micro scratches on the back after a while and the case tends to turn yellow after a while, maybe a year or slightly less...
