QUOTE(micwin1437 @ Oct 12 2020, 11:21 PM) price : economical The problem with Ringke is just fingerprints magnet.protection : comparable to UAG i used to used UAG before but find them too bulky and pricey. i only like 2 type of Ringke, either Ringke Fusion and Ringke Air. Rinke Fusion at the moment is my favorite. |

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Oct 12 2020, 10:01 PM) Would be more ideal if they changed it to USB-C in line with their other "pro" products. AirPods Pro, iPad Pro and MacBook Pro are all using USB-C.... sooner or later they would have to standardised that so everyone will only need to bring 1 cable instead of 2... Huh? AirPods Pro using lightning cable ler. |

QUOTE(attw @ Oct 13 2020, 01:04 PM) There’s no such a thing as brand new design in Apple dictionary. They all look the same. They just recycle the same designs over and over with minor tweaks. I will only say it’s brand new design if they actually come out with something so revolutionary and they don’t need to sabotage other brands like huawei for it. QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Oct 13 2020, 06:22 PM) Hahaha.... that's true. But then again, there has not been much breakthroughs or innovation coming from phone manufacturers nowadays. I actually see more innovation coming from android phone manufacturers, ie 120hz screen, pop up cameras, under screen front cameras. It would be a real bummer indeed if Apple wont be giving a 120hz screen on their latest iteration of the Iphone 12 Pro Max while their android competitors have already did so since last year. The innovation has been coming from Samsung, Huawei and the likes from the East side of the world for the longest time.![]() Apple just had a lot of hardcore fans and America protecting the brand. If you put Android into the Apple Phones, they would have lost the competition a long long time ago. Whether or not Apple gives 120hz screen on their latest phones doesn't matter, for as long as I could remember, hardware wise other manufacturers have always been miles ahead. *shrug* So even if they put in 120hz now, so many other parts of its hardware are still lacking behind. Their only strength is to keep and safeguard the software (ios) close to their hearts so that nobody can mess with it and adjust to their own wills whereas Android is open source. free for all to test and use and customise. |

QUOTE(attw @ Oct 13 2020, 07:21 PM) "hardware wise other manufacturers have always been miles ahead." haha. My other half works in Apple software development, so i also heard a lot of shit going on as well in their software. They just keep it hush hush, that's why it's a closed model.Wow, your bias against Apple is next level. Makes me wonder why you'd buy an iPhone 11 Pro ![]() I use both Android and Apple and I believe both can exist at the same time and we as consumers are the ultimate winners. I don't necessarily compare between the both coz you really can't - you are absolutely right about the one thing that sets Apple apart - software. All Apple users who are integrated and invested in the ecosystem won't switch, or even if they do, it'll be tough and 9 out of 10 they might switch back. So for me, there really is no value in an iPhone vs Android argument in terms of hardware specs, camera innovations, etc. Enjoy the best of both worlds! I only changed because like i said i was using Samsung for the last 5 years, wanted something new and refreshing (but kinda regretting it now). Anyway, you answered your own question - software. And i also like flagship phones with flat screen. ![]() But to be honest, Huawei got kicked out of the market is a huge blow towards all consumers. For one thing, Samsung now monopolizes the android market. And also, Apple is benefiting from this (insider's market research info). When Huawei and Samsung were competing with each other, they had to be so creative and innovative and people who have been using Apple might be tempted to actually switch to Huawei or Samsung just because they could offer so much more in hardware and software too. Now it's just Samsung and Apple. So they literally can sell subpar things and market it at the highest prices because now they are kings. Welcome to capitalism i guess. ![]() This post has been edited by miyakochan89: Oct 13 2020, 08:16 PM |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Oct 14 2020, 08:30 AM) Can sell but at lower prices. Gone are the days where you will get good resale values. Prices of phones have risen to a all time high level. Nowadays only mid range phones garner much attention. And no charger and no earphones right?Nope....you will still get the same 60hz on the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. Apple is definitely skimping on this screen and charger. yeah. That's why they need a iphone mini to stay relevant cause the sales of their flagships are dropping. QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Oct 14 2020, 08:44 AM) Cut the lower carbon emission bullshit. All these tactics are here to make consumers pay more to purchase their chargers separately and also their earpods. If you purchase the earpods and charger separately, these items would have to be packed in different plastic and cardboard boxes packaging and wouldn't that be contributing to more carbon emission and deforestation? Yeah. I hate those carbon emissions bullshits. The ones that emit these the most are these manufacturers, maybe revisit their damn factories and policies. Stop pushing it to consumers. It’s all about the money like you said. You should be glad though that Apple is not charging for the box the phone comes in though. :lol2: |
