will you guys get iphone 12 pro / pro max with telco?

my current digi bill 1 month rm53, feel like buying 11 pro last time and i went digi and checked

it seems so much expensive because i pay more for the phone bill compare to buying the phone alone
*
It’s the same digi postpaid 120 x 24 = 2880 + 3515 phone price = 6395

6395 - 5299 ori price = 1096 / 24 = 45.6 phone bill

as far as i have calculated before. it is totall not worth it to sign up a postpaid plan with telcos for 2 years contract to buy an iPhone especially now prepaid has much better deal like hotlink rm35 per month can get you a decent unlimited call/data plan.

better just buy the phone alone.
*
Depend u want save or not... extra rm 10 for digi u get high speed and 120gb quota instead of capped 3mbps... if u buy with celcom 98 plan its just cost u rm 27 internet bill per month cheaper than rm 35... celcom the only telco that let u subscribe rm 98 plan... digi and maxis only rm 120 and 128 for pro max when launch... maxis 128 plan 60gb quota and celcom 98 plan 50gb... digi 120 plan 120gb quota most cheap

Don't think it will be discounted but there will be some discounts with bank credit cards and what not.
Ya, don't sign on an upgrade for your current Telco plan just to get a phone cheaper if you end up spending more in the long term. As long as you're fully utilizing what you're paying for, that's good enough. Some folks get mobile phone subsidy hence no problem for them to get a higher plan.
There's no pre-order for Apple Malaysia website, you'll have to pay the full amount and just wait for the delivery which will vary based on the variant you choose. You can consider buying from Lazada's Apple Store, I've bought my iPhone X and iPad Air 3 from them. No issues with delivery.
Ya, like me, only maxis will work at my home area so no choice, might as well sign contract with them and buy a device cheaper laugh.gif

end up spending more in the long term. What? Getting with plan is cheaper bro... unless u only buy rm 15 internet plan per month or use wifi only

Getting with plan

Rm 98 x 24 = 2352 + 3608 = rm 5960 only

Rm 5960 - ori price rm 5299 = 661 / 24 = rm 27.5 internet bill per month

Phone alone + rm 35 any unlimited prepaid

Rm 35 x 24 = 840 + rm 5299 = rm 6139 compare to celcom 98 plan 5960

So I dunno why u guys say more expensive lol

Haha, yeah, what I meant was for example, on maxis, if you're on an older, legacy plan of about RM50-RM60 monthly but to be eligible to purchase iPhone on subsidy, the cheapest plan starts at RM128 monthly. You'll end up spending more. Of course if you're already on the plan, then it's a no brainer to get the phone on a contract, which is what I plan to do too smile.gif

Yup if u can get company subsidy, definitely not worth it

Need to add SST so ended up at rm6317.60. But still worth it since it has better data than prepaid.
*
Oh ya forgot add, not worth getting prepaid just to save a little and slow speed

One question, I plan to buy MagSafe charger, do I still need to buy the apple charger?

The iphone 12 pro max comes with usb-c to lightning cable? So mean I need to buy a usb-c adapter? Can i use non-apple charger?
*
U need buy USB-C Power Adapter separately

hmm im not sure how cheap it will be

cos my digi plan is RM53 a month

but usually the plan telco bill is near to RM100 ?

i compare 11 pro max last time on Digi plan, the cheapest is 120 plan

which is way higher than i buy phone alone...

im still confuse actually sweat.gif  sweat.gif

Digi Postpaid rm 120 x 24 month contract = rm2880
Phone price rm 3515
Rm 2880 + 3515 = rm 6395 x 6% sst = total cost rm 6778.7

If u buy phone alone

Ur plan rm 53 x 24 month = rm 1272 + 5299 = total cost rm 6571

Ur plan how many gb? That digi postpaid 120 got 120gb

Sit back, buy some popcorn and watch other phone makers follow suit soon after smile.gif
Right, apparently even the battery size of the 12 Pro is same as the 12, so I'd probably avoid the 12 Pro but there is an argument for the other models smile.gif
Hahaha, yes, serious. That's also one of the main reasons why I sold my Poco F2 Pro and downgraded back to the Realme 6 after a month
- I wrote it in my review as well smile.gif

I figured out why apple sell 12 and pro version 1st

They sell the pro version 1st to make those rich cant wait for pro max version then buy pro version 1st then later buy pro max version again... pro max version better camera spec according to apple... also for those need bigger battery and display... wide camera on the iPhone 12 Pro Max features a 47% larger sensor than on the iPhone 12 Pro, with 1.7μm pixels. Apple says that this difference in sensor size makes for a whopping 87% improvement in low-light conditions.

The wide camera on the iPhone 12 Pro Max also features sensor-shift optical image stabilization, which stabilizes the sensor itself rather than the lens. Apple says that this will greatly improve stabilization for photos and videos.

As for iPhone 12 apple want sell the slightly higher price than mini 1st... those that want mini phone but want the 1st get iPhone terpaksa buy iPhone 12 1st then regret or sell to buy mini again...
