Nope Nope and Nope. IOS is very much restrictive. Even transferring your whatsapp chat over to IOS requires paid apps to do so.

I'm looking forward to iPhone 12 Pro Max and it is going to be my first iPhone if all sails smoothly but I'm not new to iOS as I have been using few iPads for a decade. 

However, many photos are shared around where 12 Pro are easily scratched. Not that I will use my phone naked but I'm just feeling uncomfortable to pay that much but is easily scratched?

Perghhhhh that is one powerful device you got there...honestly I was eyeing for one plus nord before i12 was introduced    and paranoid when thinking of switching to android 

still in dilemma, thinking of the size of pro max, i love the spec of the pro max, but 6.7 inch seems very large, even the current 11 pro max 6.5 inch is too big for my hand. but like many says, 12 pro is just extra telephoto and lidar and extra 2gb ram. hmm.

Lately more and more youtubers posted video said dont buy IPhone 12 Pro. Aiyo.. Like that Apple how to boost their sales? 

After some reading here and there for the past few days, most likely i'll be sticking with my 11 pro max. I assume my current 11 pro max 256gb can be sold at rm4000, i'll have to top up rm1799 for a 12 pro max 256gb for a better camera and new design only.

I've used multiple iPhone and Android phones over the years. I don't have any brand loyalty and will buy/use a phone based on the tech available or what is needed at the moment of time. I typically change phone every 6 months to test out "new" features. It was much worse previously, where i buy every flagship device from brands like Apple, Samsung, Oneplus, HTC. Definitely not sustainable but it feeds the addiction of having the latest and greatest toy every couple of months. Hint on my age, I've used an O2 XDA before

My view is that there are no such thing as a perfect phone/device. There will always be drawbacks when you switch devices, even when you are switching from one Android to another (most painful when you switch from different between Android/iOS and wanting to maintain your WhatsApp conversation).

So why am I buying the iPhone 12 this time around? Given that the upgrade cycle is every 12 months and I wont be able to feed that addiction of mine on switching phones? 1 word comes to mind, Longevity.

This is important to me now because due to new work arrangements, I'm fortunate enough to have my choice of phone subsidised by my company. The upgrade cycle allowed by my company is every 2 years so to me the natural choice will be an iPhone for 2 reasons. 1)Resell value after 2 years 2) Almost guaranteed performance on any app for 2 years, although i believe this will be the same for any SD865 proc Android phones.

Yes, the battery is weaker compared to my current OnePlsu 8 Pro and perhaps it throttles when i game on it but considering that i need to keep the same phone for 2 years  i feel that an iPhone is my best bet.
