Cheers man, not dissing you at all but sometimes some things are kinda obvious yet cause its linked to apple suddenly everything is bad

The apple hate is real, even with no substance

Malls still operating as normal bro, albeit very few folks out there. Government can't afford to close businesses but the way I look at the retail stores struggling, I think a number of retail stores will shutter eventually. A bit worried for all the shops and kopitiams out there smile.gif

Anyways, should be no issues getting your phone from Switch, except they may limit number of folks in the shop at any one time, so there may be a queue.
I love reading the Apple hate especially in and around this forum, it's very entertaining biggrin.gif

if they hate apple for legit reasons then go ahead like small battery, lacking hardware features, some software limitations etc its all okay

but i have friends who diss me using apple cause "i dont like apple" or "overpriced phones". these arent legit reasons doh.gif

While lepak-ing in here, then realized few of my friend already jump boat and get iPhone 12 from neighbor country. I wonder what's the Pro and Cons of buying import set?
*
so far if last time, some imported sets are sim locked to their telcos. countries like japan and US are notorious for this. HK and SG set are the gold tiers for early adopters haha. now sim locking are very rare liao

also not sure how true, but apple honors warranty internationally so you can run off to any country that has official apple presence and you can get it honored

ive heard of cases where locals running to SG apple store and still get stuff replaced and repaired.

one of the biggest con is prolly the pricing, cause MY set are kinda cheaper than SG sets.

The "overpriced phones" argument isn't really valid anymore when you consider the prices of Android flagship phones these days. Samsung's latest and greatest Note 20 Ultra retails at RM5199 and while they may argue it's more phone for that money, it's still a lot of money, hahaha. Oh, and the best part is that that same phone will go for 3899 during the 11.11 sale, just three months after launch. Imagine if you had bought it at RRP.

Thoughts?

my preference lies with apple, never used an android phone before. personally cause i feel android manufacturers are just tacking on features after features be it useful ones or not onto their phones and then ship it out to sell as much. felt like as a customer they only want my money and thats all they cared about. most features seems to be added just to tick checklists. if youre the kind who love hardware upgrades then by all means go Android no doubt.

apple otoh seems to be focused on other ways to integrate more on the user experience in using their devices. features like applepay (though not available in MY lol), continuity, airdrop etc works great. they never have the most eye catching hardwares but they arent that far off

also for me longetivity as in not lifespan of device, but more on its use case. you may be using an older iphones, but you rarely feel neglected in terms of what it can do. old iphones in general can do as much as newer ones, with exception of hardware limitations

Belum cuba Android belum tahu....hahaha. I've tried both and each has their pros and cons. Android OS has come a long way in refining their OS user experience. The gap is even smaller today. Apple has the advantage of developing hardware, SOC and software under one roof. Samsung devices with SD processors are the closest to Apple device experience.

ill be honest lol, ill just use whichever i have and deal with it regardless iOS and Android. considering my current phone is mostly social media/instant messaging/gps/browsing/camera device

any android device also excel at that level laugh.gif

it just so happens i buy apple only so..
