There seems to be confusion about fan and air circulator. Under definition of fan, a device that has blades and rotates to provide moving air.

Fan - air sucked from rear and pushed to the front. Ever wonder why on certain days at night it is not cool air but rather warm air comes out from fan. Fan can only blow out available temperature of air.

Hot air usually get trapped in the house and release back at night. Thats the reason on certain days even with fan turned on, you will feel rather warm. FAN DO NOT PRODUCE COOL AIR, IT ONLY BLOW OUT AVAILABLE AIR TO THE FRONT.

Air Circulator NEED air con to produce a colder room temperature. Air Circulator without air con WILL NEVER produce colder room temperature

Fan NEED air con to produce a colder room temperature = Air Circulator NEED air con to produce a colder room temperature.

Fan RM130 .... Air Circulator RM ?????

What happens to the claim of 'Reducing electricity bill" ?

Actually I don't think anyone is "confused" over what a fan is. It's just you who keeps saying "A FAN DOES NOT PRODUCE COOL AIR". Well, neither does your air circulator, does it? You yourself say
Except... a fan has better air circulation because it has bigger blades. Doesn't that move air better than your air circulator?

And your anecdotal story about 99 Speedmart using this air circulator to imply that it is better than fans? I can absolutely understand 99 Speedmart using your air circulator, as I would not want rotating exposed fan blades due to the safety issue in store.

But all that said, I may still buy one for my kitchen as the ceiling is a bit low (apartment only) And don't take this as a personal attack, but unfortunately, in my eyes, this air circulator is as ugly as sin. So still to decide about it when the time comes.

If the hot air stucked in the room, no matter how u circulate the air, it is still hot..
So either on aircond to cool down the air, or use exhaust fan to suck out the hot air.
So this so call air circulator, actually it is a fan also. Just another type of ceiling fan. Suitable for low ceiling area.
If the price can lower, i think more people can accept it.
As i know, this kind of fan minimum RM400++..

Fan blows out air directly in front while Air Circulator circulates the air in an enclosed area to minimize hotspot/coldspot area. I'm pretty sure standing at the back a fan will not get breeze.

The claims still stands as installing Air Circulator with Air Con creates WIND CHILL EFFECT enabling to increase air con temperature setting up to 4 degree thus reducing electricity bills.

pair aircond with ceiling fan. same remote and some interlinking involved

perhaps should try using both fan and air con to create WIND CHILL EFFECT, no harm testing since do not have AIR CIRCULATOR yet. If satisfied with able to increase air con temperature setting, you have ENERGY SAVING

FAN AIR FLOW IS DIFFERENT FROM AIR CIRCULATOR AIR FLOW. no harm testing at home fan and air con with increase air con temperature

A blowing fan circulate the surrounding air no matter which direction it faces. When is on rotating mode, the cooling effect is faster.

It doesnt matter what your stand that installing air circulator reduces electricity bill ... as long there is no proof to substaintiate ... is mere bs ! and why it was not highlight in your opening thread until I brought it up !

buy 16 inch table fan, go to giant buy 12 inch blade. replace 16 inch blade with 12 inch blade. instant air circulator. the high output motor designed for the 16 inch fan will turn faster since the 12 inch has lower total area compared to the 16 inch.
