Heres what it looks like underneath, maybe this should shed some light into the matter.

the sticker is pulled underneath so that it also works as a dampening for the vibration.

Why not?
Everyone is crazy about modding their cases into BTX.
Even those gods of casing modification in many forums always modded their casing to BTX.

I believe you don't know the "sweetness" of BTX do ya?
Well, do google up about BTX.

Seriously, you'll love it after you've heard the "sweetness" of BTX. smile.gif

In normal ATX design, you'll see that your motherboard lays on top of the left sidepanel.
In BTX design, you'll see that your motherboard lays on top of your right sidepanel.

This is ATX: [As you can see, the motherboard tray lies on top of the right sidepanel]

The Cooling Performance. smile.gif

BTX design is A LOT cooler than ATX. smile.gif

Please don't misunderstand the word "cooler" as cool @ beautiful design. laugh.gif

The word "cooler" i'm talking about is in terms of thermo dynamics, A.K.A. heat @ thermal. smile.gif

BTX design will make your hardware A LOT cooler than the old ATX design. thumbup.gif

I know the differences between them, maybe when i get tired looking at my case then I'd go for BTX, but for the meanwhile I'll stick to ATX form after all my case is an aeroengine(Cheap) not some fancy Ah lian...thank you again for the suggestion and the insight of ATx & Btx form. It wont be hard to change it to btx form, I see just a few rivets and screws to change. I think you should call BTX the 2Cool factor biggrin.gif
Master Ianho cases are too cool(design wise) and godly while mine is just a poor peasant boys case hahah!.......

I didn't say you have to change to lian-li just to get BTX. laugh.gif

Anyway, what makes you say Ah Lian is a "fancy schmancy" casing?
Ah Lian casings aren't "fancy schmancy", they are smart, and cool looking, they don't have any "fancy schmancy" specs and looks. laugh.gif

Your casings are. laugh.gif

I didn't say you have to change to lian-li just to get BTX. laugh.gif

Anyway, what makes you say Ah Lian is a "fancy schmancy" casing?
Ah Lian casings aren't "fancy schmancy", they are smart, and cool looking, they don't have any "fancy schmancy" specs and looks. laugh.gif

Your casings are. laugh.gif

chilled guys.................

btw i think the better term is called reversed ATX as refer by lian li web page (if not mistaken)...........ppl refer that as BTX usually due to the fact most BTX mobo are mounted left side instead or right side like ATX does....mis-communication perhaps

the real BTX is kind of not commonly seen by ppl eventhough all most of the Dell desktop are BTX motherboards nowadays.......but seriously the idea is very good, processor benefit the most......

i also use reversed ATX installation in my rig, i found that the air flow management is much more easier n i manage a desirable cool down rate on my VGA card evenwith slow fans,

but the poor side is on the cable management, but this depends on the placement of PSU and all those IO ports.....

That's a common mistakes here. BTX takes more than inverted chasis. Component layout on motherboard is what makes BTX form factor. From that, a new chasis design should follow the motherboard layout. We should refrain on saying inverted ATX is BTX.

Then Lets All Call It ITX=Inverted Atx brows.gif thumbup.gif rclxms.gif
Or "RTX"=Reverse Atx, sounds even more cool rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

I've seen the xps before but not really well and all i know its that you open up to see your mobo from the right side(From front view) and i ASSUME that the "RTX" was in fact a BTX, thank you for the insightful information this clears up a whole lotta' things...but i see that the xps had not so good review from a PC magazine and guess what due to its heat problems(go figure)...If I'm not mistake from maximum pc or was it PC Magazine?(Don't argue about this particular comment) continue on the atx and btx argument oh and the "RTX"

I always made it a point to say my mods are called "BTX Style" ler. I never sed it's BTX. Ppl all confused d. I like BTX Style coz the gfx cards are always on top so can show them off nicely at the top window. Also, for those on water cooling, if the gfx is on top then if the CPU water block leaks for sum reason it will just drip down n not damage the gfx coz it's on top. I've had a CPU block leak straight on top of my gfx card so it's no joke to c the gfx card flooded with coolant. It's frightening to c especially when ur gfx cards are top end cards. Pengsan oh if the card dies from drowning. laugh.gif

Ur mod so far? U need to spend a lot more time on cutting nice n smooth n finishing up those edges. As is, the cuts are very rough n unfinished. I noticed even ur markings for the top panel cut is not properly drawn. If ur markings are not accurate then ur cuts will never be accurate. Concentrate on making a perfect drawing of what u wanna cut 1st. Make sure it's milimeter perfect. I actually spend hours on measuring n marking b4 I even start to cut. It's a very very very important step. Luckily the scoop covers that top cut though. Hopefully u take ur time on the next cut n do it better. Well, as long as u enjoy what ur doing now, keep it up n enjoy urself. That's teh most important thing.

bro, the ori heat sink is very inefficient... at least not in our climate lar... add a 120mm fan blowing directly to the heat sink is the cheapest n easiest way of solving the problem... i know a cybercafe actually drilled 4 holes for installing a 92mm fans on these gpu...

n it seems like local gigabyte distro doesn's carry gigabyte gpu cooler into malaysia...

Thats just for now, I'll manage the cables later due to the fact that I'm still in the processes of modding my case....the setup was just for installing my WinMCE...Thank you for the fine observation

Nah, I thought it would be cool to put the scoop that matches my theme, lucky just you and me using the scoop rclxms.gif (Uncle Ian drop the idea laugh.gif )
About the gray scoop...black & silver is the theme like yukikaze and also so that can color match with manufacturer color tongue.gif

Not alfa romeo(expensive) ler...something like that only a bit cheaper which can be found at the car accessories shop but with the (sanded polish?) finishing.
Right now so many ideas but with no follow through only sweat.gif sweat.gif
