My case is to "showy" and thats why it looks cheap(but i love it)

QUOTE(vedder1979 @ Aug 19 2007, 09:43 AM) I know the differences between them, maybe when i get tired looking at my case then I'd go for BTX, but for the meanwhile I'll stick to ATX form after all my case is an aeroengine(Cheap) not some fancy Ah lian...thank you again for the suggestion and the insight of ATx & Btx form. It wont be hard to change it to btx form, I see just a few rivets and screws to change. I think you should call BTX the 2Cool factor Thanx for the info bro.... Master Ianho cases are too cool(design wise) and godly while mine is just a poor peasant boys case hahah!....... Added on August 19, 2007, 9:54 amOh and ocz your worklog showing me that your case is already in BTX form Project hours before dawn. Your project kind of promising too.. cant wait to see more updates with more pictures... |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Aug 19 2007, 12:27 PM) I didn't say you have to change to lian-li just to get BTX. Anyway, what makes you say Ah Lian is a "fancy schmancy" casing? Ah Lian casings aren't "fancy schmancy", they are smart, and cool looking, they don't have any "fancy schmancy" specs and looks. Your casings are. |

chilled guys.................
btw i think the better term is called reversed ATX as refer by lian li web page (if not mistaken)...........ppl refer that as BTX usually due to the fact most BTX mobo are mounted left side instead or right side like ATX does....mis-communication perhaps the real BTX is kind of not commonly seen by ppl eventhough all most of the Dell desktop are BTX motherboards nowadays.......but seriously the idea is very good, processor benefit the most...... i also use reversed ATX installation in my rig, i found that the air flow management is much more easier n i manage a desirable cool down rate on my VGA card evenwith slow fans, but the poor side is on the cable management, but this depends on the placement of PSU and all those IO ports..... |

That's a common mistakes here. BTX takes more than inverted chasis. Component layout on motherboard is what makes BTX form factor. From that, a new chasis design should follow the motherboard layout. We should refrain on saying inverted ATX is BTX.

Then Lets All Call It ITX=Inverted Atx
Or "RTX"=Reverse Atx, sounds even more cool I've seen the xps before but not really well and all i know its that you open up to see your mobo from the right side(From front view) and i ASSUME that the "RTX" was in fact a BTX, thank you for the insightful information this clears up a whole lotta' things...but i see that the xps had not so good review from a PC magazine and guess what due to its heat problems(go figure)...If I'm not mistake from maximum pc or was it PC Magazine?(Don't argue about this particular comment) continue on the atx and btx argument oh and the "RTX" This post has been edited by vedder1979: Aug 20 2007, 10:05 PM |

QUOTE(vedder1979 @ Aug 22 2007, 08:08 AM) Master Ianho is back, How about calling it an ITX then I always made it a point to say my mods are called "BTX Style" ler. I never sed it's BTX. Ppl all confused d. I like BTX Style coz the gfx cards are always on top so can show them off nicely at the top window. Also, for those on water cooling, if the gfx is on top then if the CPU water block leaks for sum reason it will just drip down n not damage the gfx coz it's on top. I've had a CPU block leak straight on top of my gfx card so it's no joke to c the gfx card flooded with coolant. It's frightening to c especially when ur gfx cards are top end cards. Pengsan oh if the card dies from drowning. So whats your opinion about the atx btx Mr.Ianho Oh and hows my sof-mod? Ur mod so far? U need to spend a lot more time on cutting nice n smooth n finishing up those edges. As is, the cuts are very rough n unfinished. I noticed even ur markings for the top panel cut is not properly drawn. If ur markings are not accurate then ur cuts will never be accurate. Concentrate on making a perfect drawing of what u wanna cut 1st. Make sure it's milimeter perfect. I actually spend hours on measuring n marking b4 I even start to cut. It's a very very very important step. Luckily the scoop covers that top cut though. Hopefully u take ur time on the next cut n do it better. Well, as long as u enjoy what ur doing now, keep it up n enjoy urself. That's teh most important thing. Added on August 22, 2007, 2:01 pmI just noticed u asked how many pix allowed per posting. It's 10. After that u hafta make another posting but remember to tick "Don't Merge With Previous Post". Or else it'll get all screwed up. This post has been edited by ianho: Aug 22 2007, 02:01 PM |
