Morning guys

I need help. My bathroom floor (1st floor) cause last time waterproofing not done well so water will leak to the ceiling at ground floor. Hardware shop tauke recommend to use AJ waterproof as the cheapest solution. Floor area around 30sqft. I applied first coat using brush but even after one week paint still wet. The tiles seem not to absorb the paint and it became sticky. I applied using brush so the tauke advice me try to use roller for even coat surface. Haven try out yet.

Anyone used AJ on tiles? Will it really absorb?

AJ waterproof ... i google to find specs info ... but they dont say /or disclose any . I will not buy this !

floor do leak as the house get older .
check the wall/ floor edge . you need to clean this and apply silicone sealant . most cases the leak is from here .
and for the floor , apply sealant to the area between 2 tiles .
allow 1 day to dry . open the door to allow airflow.

look for branded sealants when u buy. like PYE .

i think the tauke talk kok . to advise you to apply use use a roller .
tiles never leak .
what leaks is the area between two tiles .
so apply the sealant only on this area and about 0.3 inch of the tile s using a brush .
let it dry for 1 day . then apply a second coat .

I saw there's silicone sealant and co-polymer sealant. What's the difference and which one is better for bathroom?

i think they are same same ... just some marketing by some company sound better.
i use silicone sealant on the edges . the wall / floor edge. to fill the gaps so water dont get in there. The finish at this edge you can see valley like . check the product must be for concrete
water seep s in here ..
i think most leaks are from here .
they come in tubes you need a hand pressure gun .

this one is like a paste .

then for the tiles on the floor . use the method as said in my msg yesterday . use pye and apply a double coat
between the two floor tiles . Use a brush .

from google
Silicone is a synthetic polymer made up of silicon, oxygen and hydrogen or carbon. ... When properly applied, silicone is a multipurpose adhesive and sealant that creates a waterproof, protective seal, and can last up to 20 years.
this one is liquid.
