Given a choice between Celcom or Digi fibre, which one will you choose? I may choose 100Mbps and the price difference between these two providers is minimal. I'm just using it alone.
I'm a Digi subscriber for my mobile phone, on PhoneFreedom 190, not sure if I will get any discount if I subscribe to Digi Fibre. |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Mar 8 2021, 08:32 PM) I predict you will be in for a big problem if you do that. Once you terminate, TM will take some time to release the port, maybe a month or more before you can apply for new ISP. And if you are unlucky your port been taken by someone who wants to register unifi and you end up having no port. After submitting interest to TM, they finally add my address in system after months of waiting. Have to livechat everyday check for the update but normally no action from them until I request them to send some body to check for the missing unit situation. Once address is in, they automatically create order for unifi installation. I have cancelled the order via livechat cause I still have Celcom home wireless contract. However, I have contacted Celcom home fiber agent, he insisted that sign with celcom can waive the contract penalty, so I select Celcom, really win win situation and I need not to pay penalty and can get high speed and stable internet surfing. Hopefully latest router given by Celcom is good enough for whole house coverage , will install it next week.As for the usual process of switching to other ISP under TM's infra, normally we need to register with the other ISP and submit transfer request to TM. It will take about 10 working days for TM to either approve or deny your request. You need to pray hard that they do not use this trial period as an excuse not to approve your transfer. Also will there be any guaranty your address will be updated into the system of the other ISP upon registerring Unifi? If not, you can't register still. So, this is a very tricky process. If anything happen in between, it may drag your time past the 30 days mark and you are automatically bound by 2 years contract of Unifi. Above is just my prediction, looking at how this termination/transfer process. If you willing to give it a go, do keep us updated. |

Can I use my own router with Digi Fibre? I’m sure the installer won’t help to install with my router right away and I can only change to mine after he leaves?

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Apr 5 2021, 05:18 PM) Thinking to buy Asus AX3000 as it fits into my budget and requirement. I'm thinking to use a router that can be used on TIME broadband eventually. I will subscribe to either Digi/Celcom Fibre before taking up TIME. Will this router work on all these ISPs? I posted the details here looking for recommendation. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=find...t&pid=100503575 |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 5 2021, 05:35 PM) UniFi I know la because it has dedicated profile ready, Digi/Celcom/TIME, I don't think I will know. Just have to setup Custom VLAN only, extra 2 steps from UniFi configuration |
