you can skip it or go f2p if you want, nobody is forcing you to buy the bp or the welkin, there are content creators that cleared high tier content f2p

i personally did spend on the bp, so i know how much value i can obtain and push my ingame progress

i have to say im enjoying my black sword more than any other weapons as it works very well on my keqing, not to mention id nvr pull on weapon banners, so no bis aquilla for me.

i skipped the blessings though, as i dont see a need to get additional primos for extra pulls or resin purchase as ive only pulled necessarily for what i need,
with events and free primos, it was sufficient for me.

When u have critical weapon you can contra with other artifact. Its easier to get artifact with cri dmg or cri rate. Is hard to get both. Since my venti have cri bow It help me ease on artifact.1

ur can actually farm exp at world lvl 6 ur can get around 3-4 hero wit for 20 resin using ley line so that mean max 40 hero with perday... same as money at lvl 6 60k mora for 20 resin can get max 480k perday using ley line......but ya downside need to use resin ...of cousrse laaa ur can get more if using battle pass

That why sub stat is important to have crit rate and crit damage but then if ur using crit weapon with a lot crit sub stat can reach 100% crit rate 

Your current build better get mona. Pair with ur diluc can do impressive vaporize damage.

this game super casual no need to whale la. no pvp ranking, no world ranking, at best do crit build, get high damage, post @ reddit for karma nia.

most people should have fishcl, xiangling, barbara, those waifus can carry u all the way. even c0.

Dont worry too much about guides, just get used to the game first. Just focus on doing quests and leveling your Adventure Rank. There are quite alot of quest you shouldn't run out of things to do anytime soon. Unless you play like 20 hours a day la

As for the battlepass, I don't think you should buy it because you just started and you won't be able to max the battlepass level. maybe wait for the next battle pass in less than 2 weeks time.

For beginner tips,

1) Make sure to spend your resins and don't let it max out(open your map top right will show /160). Resin is used in domains and bosses. You might not have access to these early, you can just use it on Leylines that appear on the map
2) At Adventure Rank 12 (AR12), you will unlock daily quests. Do them everyday.
3) Just forget about the web interactive maps for now, just go around unlocking all waypoints and statues.

The most important thing you need to know is Adventure Rank. You need to level your AR to unlock better domains, more quests, character progression, better item drops etc. Basically game progression.

Only way to gain AR is using resin and doing quests. There's no way to fast track this other than refresh resin using primogems.

As long as you focus your resources on one DPS, you'll be fine. Apart from abyss, there isn't much min-maxing, so long your dps does enough damage to kill comfortably you can clear the story. The welkin moon (the monthly pass thing) is the greatest bang for buck deal in genshin. Followed by battle pass because of the tons of resources

i didnt spend money on the battle pass, but if u do, u get to a pick a 4 star weapon which i dont think u get in the gacha pool. ofc some bonus materials for upgrading.

whaling wont make you level faster. as the story/side quest unlock based on ur adventure rank (ar) level. but it helps make your waifus stronger by getting more constellations and higher tier weapons. both need huge amounts of mora and exp card investment. which is time.

imo take your time. do every puzzle, chest, seelie spirit, daily quest/battle pass quest. the reputation system helps u explore more for more rewards. i didn't finish the main quest till like ar46. oh there is the event quest as well. bonus primogems and materials. try to use up all your energy.

but do play the game however u like. if u stuck go do other stuff, and get stronger. farm doamins for artifacts n level. utubers are there as a guide, any waifu team can complete the game, some just easier. min maxing only useful for those challenging high level abyss floor or domain.

My newbie tips for you is

1. DO NOT UPGRADE EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER YOU HAVE. THE KEY HERE IS TO FIND YOUR 4 PERSON IN TEAM.
2. ONCE YOU GOT your 5 stars hero decide whether you like him/her and focus upgrade.
3 Collect every flower you see you need alot to upgrade your characters.
4. If you are not strong enough learn to CO OP because when CO OP you can be playing 1 or 2 characters than 4 characters.
5. DONT RUSH INTO THE GAME TOO FAST you end up bored like me nothing much to do after u complete daily quest or events.
6. DONT UP ASECENSION OR WORLD LEVEL TOO FAST because when you up the monster also will up level means its get harder. Make sure you are ready.
7. This game is about elemental reaction. In the party page you can see on top show you how elemental react like 2 FIRE members = Increase ATK, 2 Anemo character = Shorter cooldown and many more so this game is not about more damage
8. Artifact for starting try focus on ATK , CRI RATE & CRI DMG ITEMS for DPS
9. This game is for people that have some time daily not for alot of time because you need resin for domains and bosses for extra it cost primo or fragile resin
10. This game story is like your daily chinese drama on TV. When you finish the story you need to wait the developer to update the continue story and when you finish the story you need to wait for next update so end up its a very slow game

Yes battle pass does help because it gives mora = money, upgrade materials, talent books and etc.

But so far I think I went into 2 castle/dungeon to fight but my resin still remains at 160?
I'm at level 7 now.

At low Adventure Rank(AR) you can just spend on Ley Lines(Gold and Blue clouds that gives you Mora & Character EXP Books). After that, you can spend your resin to farm Element bosses like 'Electro Hypostasis' when you think you're up to it.

What you played are probably one-time story dungeon, the one without timer and characters like Kaeya and Lisa will join you as guest characters. The dungeon(domains) we talked about here are higher-level one with timer/rules that cost 20 Resin Energy each, unlocked at around AR 16, together with Co-op feature.
