Zhongli's banner will go live at 6pm, future banner after zhongli is unknown as of now, possibly albedo and then ganyu

I saw the banner already zhong yun and another fella is in there.

Tested and I really don't like. So skip even I'm only 22 draw away from pity drop.

As a spear user, his attacks are surprisingly slow....

yes, i like zhongli alot even not best dps but best damage taker especial fighting 4 boss and his shield damnnn gooood (tartaglia gonna love this shield ^^). his dodge attack way better then slide left or right cos push more further and less stamina consume, zhongli basically for people like on control.

good for adventure use, hahaha no need swap main heroes already... so happy and the pilar can climb up + much taller (didn't own venti so it does help little bit, previously i cannot obtain the amemoculus at springvale).. somehow farming mineral very terrible, unlike ningguang.

I don't have enough materials to up him yet, but here's my rough testing with him



at lv 70 vs lv 81 ruin guard in overworld (some dmg penalty due to lv difference)

EQ:
weapon - skyward spine (lv 40 - lul, coz in terms of materials, I have none)
artifact - glad+noblesse (imported from my ning's - so all at +16/20, pretty decent)
with a cheapo bennette support

Disappointed they nerfed Zhongli's Q from CBT. In CBT petrified enemies take 20% more dmg from Geo and physical.

Looks like I'm skipping him then. IMO his current skill can only be used as a sub DPS paired with main DPS Ningguang

His burst is great but so other characters can do it even better. Being geo means his Q can't scale unlike Childe or Mona.

He has defensive shields but for the current content, dmg is far better.

It's ok you can build both if you want. Abyss floor 12 requires you to have a Cryo in both team and depending on your 2 teams, you might have party slot problem. Diona and Qiqi being both Cryo and Healer saves you slots for both team.

I wanted to build both too but I didn't get Diona oh well

Yes this is what I've been thinking as well. He's a sub for ningguang. More specifically ningguang with memory of dust cube. Otherwise ningguang don't even need him.

He's a good shield generator. But rather than playing defense, not being hit will be a better option now.

honestly i wouldnt compare him with mona on certain factors

if we are just talking bout aiming for big pp dmg, just save your rolls for pyro, hydro units...cuz ur not going anywhere with others in terms of elemental reaction dmg, Diluc, Klee, Mona just excels on those roles, no contest.

THAT said, if youre going for something with minimal setup, a character on its own, Zhongli burst is great as a geo support. His burst nerf is regrettable, instead they increased his HP mod from 20 to 33% into his burst.

If you like him as a character, go for it, no regrets for me
If you want him for big PP dmg, wait for the next pyro, hydro unit

Tested a little bit more, really trying hard to love him, but the best I have is, he has great visuals, fantastic at mining and a thicc shield maybe if you need it.

He doesn't stand out as a dps and as a support which was quite a bummer. If only they kept the 20% physical and geo dmg.

nah if you dont feel good using him especially his playstyle, dont force yourself, cuz on the long run, you will get bored real fast.

i had the same issue with childe and diluc, they were very good dps, but i couldnt stand playing them on the long run, i prefer something more fluid and fast paced like keqing, easy but manageable for my boomer hands haha

always go for something you really enjoy, especially on a pve focused game.

well i do like his combat, its just with limited resources its really not worth investing in him

I do get him from pity, but for those of y'all where primo is scarce I'd suggest you skip him unless you really like his movement/art/voice/etc. Hopefully someone finds a way to work with him coz he is kinda fun to play with but there's just really no reason for him to be in a party over other character other than making penis jokes

give him some time, alot of crafters are working on him and xinyan now, i personally love the character design for xinyan, didnt get her while rolling for zhongli, sad.

personally waiting for jinjinx to finish testing and maxing his, tenha did his first impression already, he might continue working on him later on.

as for the others, i cant take their verdict srsly, most are too biased or over buffing to give you an accurate potential of the character.

well, for me is a skip, I like Zhongli, I love his "Q", but I hate his "E" skill, for me to have fun in this game is the "E" and "Q" skill, not the left click combo attack, he feel like a polearm version of xingqiu that only good with his "Q" I'm not saying he not good just not my type of style.

For me any rank 5 that is not pure dps is a waste of primogem but very cool to have ......for zhongli case is not my priority at the moment

me myself wanna invest in normal banner first hoping for 5star weapon (almost near pity pull) after that try luck on promo banner .....
