The problem is never about 5 star characters. His problem is more to no friends to play with when facing bottleneck.

My f2p friends facing the same before. But we overcame it by playing co op together hunting artifacts. Now their 4 star characters can deal sick damages as well. One of them his c0 ningguang like using machine gun. Another one his c2 barbara can do dps and healer hybrid depends on situation.
So she is bow user? E skill also throw doll??

yes 2 party is a must. pure support character dont need to have too good equipment, they just need a bit of talent leveling. I would advise focusing your resources on your dps and 2ndary dps, especially the artifact as they make a huge diff

nvr ever level up your whole party equally, pour resource on the one that is on the field most of the time.

its actually not wrong to invest on a 4* unit, my first 2 main dps was keqing and xiangling, yes...a xiangling, she was my 2nd character i invested to lvl70, normal atk & pyronado to talent6, she carried my 2nd team to floor10 abyss. I handed her gears down to Zhongli after i got him, its not a dead end.

Most 4* are actually really really great endgame units, razor, beido, ninguang, chongyun, bennett, xingqiu, sucrose....they are top tier even with 5* into consideration.

You need to plan your team BEFORE investment. not spreading your current limited supply evenly across your current hero pool, theres a difference.

Supports in general dont need major investment to do their job either, my barb was on 4* exile x scholars, not even upgraded +0, ppl are shittin on her mainly cuz shes "free" and gives wet status, but she helps the most in almost all my fights with thrilling tales. Wet status cleanse pyro aura effects too.

I ran floor 9-2nd team with a lvl79 keqing, lvl60 barb, lvl8 kaeya, lvl10 amber. its 8/9 star completion. the idea of support is to use their elemental reactions and skills to counter shield and gameplay mechanics allowing your MAIN dps to do most of the job later on. Barb works EXCEPTIONALLY well breaking pyro shields.

Domains are more unforgivable in certain sense, ESPECIALLY noblesse farm, a team mate agro-ing all 3 of the mages would put team at risk if they are doing the pyro & cryo mage clear 1st strat, cuz hydro mage is out of the equation of the first half duration of the fight, thats HUGE, cuz you dont want to get frozen and bubbled most of the time focusing on pyro mage.

I could go on and on breaking down domain fights, but really you must at least understand how certain decision and strat you applied to your gameplay especially in coop makes MAJOR difference.

I could solo Childe, but coop makes it 2x harder depending on your partners unit if they lack coordination and sense to dodge debuff or mobbing.

the video doesnt really prove anything aside from Jean is a god at support with healing and aura cleansing, double anemo resonance. replace that codex on sucrose to thrilling tales for atk boost.
i can assure you if youre going double pyro and anemo, you'd be doing double his dps. His xiangling was already doing 8.5k pyronado per spin. compare that dps to a 30k meteor that needs recharge. you can just replace zhongli with bennett and boost that pyronado and generate more pyro energy for xiangling to upkeep pyronado.
Or just replace 1 unit with cryo like diona to shield break electro fatui (which wasted most of his time) and mitigate cryo dmg.

7mins remaining is required for floor12 to 3 star, 5min for 2star, and 3min for 1star. First half has only 6.45mins remaining for your 2nd half to clear the remaining wave.

unless of course again, you just wanna clear it with the bare minimum for floor rewards, yeah hes great as a bruiser support, but it doesnt remove the fact that you have better cheaper options.

i like him as a character and hes fun to play with, but im not gonna lie to myself that he couldnt had been better as a 5* unit that cost much more to pull for, compared to other options.

again im gonna put it simple, he is GREAT as a "support bruiser & with certain comp a sustained DPS". If youre looking for big pp dps, hes not the one you should go for.

So is it worth to invest in zhong li some said bad some said good.

Unless you really like him and or you already got him, its best to just keep those primogems because if you just need a clear, again other can fill that role too. He needs investment to be viable (while your other support like chongyun can just run enough hp art not to die and he's good to go). Unless your dps are already strong enough, its not wise to invest in him yet.

But yea end of the day, just play what you like.

As long as you have a reasonable expectation and you like the character its definitely alright, you have to be the judge of that. He is a fun character to play with. Just make sure your decision does not come from seeing those irresponsible youtuber vids that showcases the character with constellations and fantastic gears.

Unfortunately I have to say Tenha is also kinda one of them. If you can't showcase a 5* character without reasonable gears at c0, its just plain misleading to others.

It takes ~2 days worth of resin just to farm enough artifact to level one 5* artifact to +20, so 10 days for a full set (assuming that you do not use/keep any of those artifacts) and ~12 days worth of resin to level a character to lv 90. and with weapons.... that's about a month's worth of resin (assuming that you are farming post AR45, its going to be a lot more pre-45)

Its a really heavy investment for most of us and I absolutely despise people who just shrug it off.

i got diluc i can say i love him alot. Claymore damage shield target and pyro ouch. I save all my primo plan to use on zhong li but many ask me wait for next one.

Soloing lvl90 Domains for Noblesse and Crimson Witch sets, need a 4 piece Crimson set to pass the dps check for abyss12 rofl

lvl20 chongyun, lvl61 barb, lvl49 noelle, lvl70 zhongli

Clear Pool and Mountai Cavern:
lvl20 chongyun, lvl61 barb, lvl60 bennett, lvl70 zhongli

Avoided using archon duo, and took a harder way to do it cuz i wanted to see how far i can push my zhongli as a "dps" with proper supports, honestly its better to just coop it, alot faster lmao

Not sure but they always drop 2 pieces for me. Also terrible stat so far.

The only piece with nice stat was dropped by the fire flower. Gladiator helm with atk% main stat, substat with crit dmg%, crit%, elemental mastery and def%.

was playin' around w C1zhongli+C1ningguang+C6traveler, plus one outsider venti... basically Qs after every few cycles throwin' out E for each... cos currently suppressed my AR at 35, didn't have good artifacts & no luck with 5* weapons to try out the full potential >< (though have 90k adventure experience racked up now, not sure what World rank would be if i complete de AR ascension quest...)
