IS THERE ANYTHING OUT THERE BETTER THAN THE ASUS LYRA OR ANY OTHER MESH NETWORK...? Short of pulling LAN cables...? vmad.gif vmad.gif vmad.gif

I live in a triple storey link houses that’s below 2500sqft, but I have trouble getting wifi signal on top most floor. If the 3-node Asus Lyra can’t make the cut, I seriously don’t know what else can, since most mesh network out there are only 2 nodes...

And no, I don’t wanna pull cables...!

Suggestions please...!

What is the signal strength from the 2nd node to the problematic 3rd node? Can check from the app

My experience when testing 2 units Deco M9 plus,
Same level (ground apartment), distance from master deco is about 15 meters, straight line. However have to pass 3 thick walls.
In the app, signal fluctuate between 1 and 2. The 2nd deco will lose connection intermittently. I repositioned the deco accordingly based on the signal strength from master deco, and the issue was fixed.

It's hardware issue and nothing to do with placement... Tech confirms via firmware logs that one of the nodes has problems and the entire bloody system ran out of RAM. Sending in for warranty have to send the entire damn router system back to factory. Working from home, cannot afford downtime...

That's why I'm looking for 3-node mesh alternatives...

Noticed the weak signal on the affected node since day one, but as time progresses and more firmware updates it has gotten worse with intermittent drop signals. There was once all 3 nodes crashed I have to restore and setup again. And when Asus stopped selling the Lyra, they stopped issuing new firmware altogether. To me this is a very bad EOL support giving to customers.

And with another prior bad experience with one of their non-mesh Wireless-N routers having firmware issues as well, I'm a bit weary of getting another Asus router in the future...

I'm looking at this as well, but it's only 2 nodes, worried it not cover all areas...

And does it support Unifi...?
