hi guys. i got some question. do we need to change gear oil every 20 km since we are driving manual car. any1 can clarify this?

oic. if auto car need to change the atf oil every 20 km. but i donno about manual car. but that mechanic told me this statement & i was like wtf. lol. because i have never change my car gear oil since the day i got my iswara 5 years back.
