The engine oil that Gilbert5107 recommend is a mineral oil, but in the oil there are two lubricant, the first one is the normal mineral oil, the second one is the graphite in the oil. So that's the reason why the ELF engine oil is so 'black' even when it's new (coz' of the graphite). The graphite will act as an lubricant and will remain on the engine moving parts so that they will form a good protection during morning cold start.
