but if you are, then no choice but to attend court and admit i guess. so now no more compound? straight go to court?

Jika disabitkan kesalahan, hukuman denda boleh dikenakan sehingga RM1,000 atau penjara tidak lebih daripada tiga bulan. Sekiranya ia adalah sabitan kali kedua, hukuman denda sehingga RM2,000 atau penjara tidak melebihi enam bulan atau kedua-duanya sekali.

Majority who received summons are guilty ... observed many using phone while driving. Some are 'caught' 100 meters away from roadblock and when realising a police operation infront, quickly throw the handphone on the passenger seat ... that is what my previous superior did while others are have traffic police tailing behind them.

Sometime just wondering why a phone call is so important while driving ...if is life matters, is 'worth' paying the fine to save one !

TS bring along a debit card. Only cash and debit cards are accepted iirc and the queue for cash payment can be damn long

Good question, was paying for a relative and it seems the cash machine had issues. So i jumped ahead as i had a debit card. Cant remember if it was same queue or not.

i see is same counter, just saw ppl take credit card, staff say only local debit card, why special mention local word

Normally 1st time get RM300, if you are repeated offender the fines might be higher. Overall progress less than 30 min

For RM100 compoundable saman, if I didn't pay and wait for 50% discount, need to attend designated court at specific date as stated in the summon slip?

I got summon of using phone l, the police say need to go court... but the summon stated is compoundable...

Me too, summon stated is compoundable, but online cannot pay too.

You need to go to court. Phone offense while driving has been changed from compoundable to non-compoundable but the hardcopy summon may not have been updated yet.

mine also the same.. tried to pay at counter cannot.. end up went to court. quite easy the process.. prepare debit card or cash.. credit card cannot use

when the case has been explained by the jurubahasa, they will say u want to plead guilty or not. if plead guilty they will say do u want to appeal to reduce the saman or not..

so u say la economy ke or if u lose job ke ap ke.. the jurubahasa at my court siap teach how to appeal before judge comes in. once judge dah do the sentencing u just wait at counter to pay.


surely at ur summon it will state what time u need to be there. i suggest go earlier than that

when it's your turn, judge will call your name and read out your charges. then judge will ask you if you plead guilty or not. if you plead guilty, then judge will tell you how much is the compound. then ask u wanna appeal or not. just give sob story and usually judge will give discount if it's your first offence and if you behave properly. after that just go the counter and pay.

be prepared with more cash coz you'll never know how much the judge gonna give you. only cash ya. no credit/debit or ewallet there. if not enough money, you'll probably have to call someone to bring cash for you and in the meantime you'll lepak in the lokap. true story.
