Strongly suggest that you visit a few shops which repair aircons/fridges and ask them which brand comes on to be worked on more often.

I think fridges in that price range are more or less the same.

I think mine is a toshiba RM3k one.

I bought it for no specific reason other than got decent space.

It's a fridge, not a car. As long as it cools the food, okay enough for me.

hitachi non inverter 4 door

its a refridgerator. no need inverter. cheaper to repair later. keep it simple.
buy the biggest you can afford.

As long as its FROST FREE.. Both brands are fine. Go for the one that's more spacious (lesser slots/plastics)..

I would prefer Japanese brands (Panasonic, Hitachi) for fridge rather than European brands (Electrolux, Beko).

Isn't Harvey Norman is more expensive? I bought my Panasonic fridge at TBM at RM1350 (including coupon 100 and delivery charges). Model is NR-BL348PSMY

Sharp also should be okay. I did a survey and found Sharp offers cheaper prices compared to other brands with same capacity. As long you buy from shop, and shop can help deliver and install should be okay. I have bad experience buy big appliance alone.

Low budget fridge? Buy a Midea and never look elsewhere. Parts for it are dirt cheap, after sales service is very good by Malaysia standards and the only thing you do not get is a silent operating motor after it is a few months old.

Japanese ones? Low end ones are disposable rubbish, same goes for Korean ones that these days are all made in Thailand.

if u ask me..any reputable brand fridge today is ok to get
u don't even move it that often anyway...it stays right where it is for a long time

the only factor left to consider is how many food and if u like the interior of the fridge or not

i think i kena lemon unit. after 3 years the defrost sensor and thermostat kaput. cost of repair, RM250+. only after service i found out that the cost of both parts actually very cheap less than RM40 and very easy to DIY after watching some youtube video.
