How old are you first will determine what kind of surgery you need to do, you can get your mri done at private, and bring it to a gov hospital, if your 60 above then you may need a total knee replacement,

in selayang or hkl, the cost for the implant is about 11-13k for acl recon/ meniscus repair , you can use medical card if you have or socso if you have, very minimal for doctor and hospital fee <100, maybe after covid period you can visit

For injection, you just need to pay for the cost of injection which is abt 900-1.3k

Im a medical officer frm there smile.gif

Then will be arthoscope to see what seems to be the problem and then fix it, but due to covid you can always do MRI first to roughly know your problem, through examinations and history can also briefly let us know about the problem your facing,

If just meniscus repair its free, if acl recon ard 10k, just for the implant and instrument.

Acl injury happens usually when you have any twisting motion or accident, you will usually feel your knee coming out especially when going up or down stairs or not stable on uneven surface

From your history, its just pain while doing sports, meaning unlikely acl injury, better see a doctor to examine to see what could be the problem, then you can save your money, seems like a meniscus problem, or just osteoarthritis,

Osteoarthritis cn benefit from the supplement your taking or injection, i think in private the injection cost minimally 5k
