Unfortunately for me, the Sony DSC T100 doesn't have the feature to imprint dates on photos in the camera itself. You have to use software to do it.

It's clearly stated in the manual that it wont be able to do so.

This is one feature that my mom wants on the cam. sad.gif

She wants to view the date on photos to remember when it was taken.

So, I would want to know, can photo developing shops imprint dates automatically for us if we request them to do so? Since the digital photos has exif data.

Has anyone had experience on this?

Thank you.

P.S. I am not looking for a software that can help me imprint date. I already have that.

This is not what I want.

I want it to be simple for my mom. I want her to just bring the memory card to the shop and I wanna find out if shops can imprint date for us.

So, I want to know whether shops can do it or not.

then you will have to ask the shop, if they have the software they will do it for you. but becareful i have heard stories of some shops screw up the memory card or deleting pics.

why dont you do all the PP and date and save in a usb drive. ask your mom bring the usb drive to the shop.

I wont be around to do it for her anymore.

I'd be going to US on the 21st of august.

Well, I want to make things simple for my mom.

So, I thought if shops can do it, then she wont have to go through the hassle of asking my bro to edit it in the computer first.

Damn the T-100, pay so much, but such a simple feature also can't include! vmad.gif

new compact cameras dont have this feature anymore, coz if accidentally turn on it cant be removed and it can ruin the image.

either you train your bro to do it, or find a kiosk that offering this option.

Should always give the user the preference to imprint or not.

This depends on the photo software which the shop uses. I am guessing that the express instant print outs are unlikely to have this feature where it will take the date from the EXIF data and imprint it on the photo.

Best is to find a shop that has this feature, then you can bring your business there.

The photo shop that we usually go to doesn't provide this service. :-(
