I think it's ducted properly but my original 6 inch ducting was connected to the apartment 4 inch pvc pipe. The distance from my pot and hood also standard one.

You meant the apartment prepared 4" PVC for exhaust? shocking.gif

Yup, correct. I already ask people to install reducer 6 inch to 4 inch but still not working. Maybe the ducting to pvc at celling there to high then the pvc pipe to outside the wall too long ( ard 20 feet )... Sigh, management just told me that my kitchen hood "no power" one... cry.gif  puke.gif  rclxub.gif

For 1400 m³/hour like this Elba, it require at least 7" duct minimum. I'd recommend 8".

0-400 CFM: minimum duct size of 4”, recommended duct size of 6”
401-600 CFM: minimum duct size of 6”, recommended duct size of 8”
601-900 CFM: minimum duct size of 7”, recommended duct size of 8”-10”
901-1200 CFM: minimum duct size of 8”, recommended duct size of 10”-12”
1200 CFM: minimum 10” diameter duct, recommended duct size of 12”

I cannot find in the manual what is the size recommended hmm.gif However, reducing the size it the worse thing you can do unfortunately sad.gif

1400 m³/hour = 824 ft³/minute (CFM)

Maybe u can try remove carbon filter at the exhaust vent hole there and see if it helps? And hopefully the duct run is not made of a lot of 90 degree bends. Turbulence is another way in which airflow is restricted. The main cause of turbulence is 90 degree elbows in ducts. Air doesn't flow like a liquid biggrin.gif

Yes carbon filter greatly reduce airflow and why bother since the air goes outside anyway laugh.gif
