Does anyone have experience using smartphone clip-on lenses? Can share your experience of using them?

I want to do smartphone videography and am thinking to get a wide angle lens (for shooting in tight spaces) and telephoto lens (for a bit more bokeh in some close up shots). So searching around there are more well known brands such as Moment and Sandmarc (but not compatible since I am using an older android phone), there are also the more affordable Ulanzi and cheaper brands such as Sanyk. So far I am leaning towards Ulanzi, seems to offer good value and plenty of video reviews on youtube.

So are there anything I should take note of before getting them? Can also share your general experience of using them smile.gif

Borrowed a set from a relative once. If you just want to do some interesting photos for your FB or Insta, it's alright. For professional purposes, not so good.

What lens did you use? Wide angle? Can you also elaborate a bit more on why it isnt suited for professional purpose? Would like to know more.

I had a look and it does actually! Sandmarc ND Filter comes with a phone clip and the clip is compatible with their wide & telephoto lens! Thanks! But I did a quick search on the price.. so expensive sweat.gif

Yeah. So far seems like Moment is the best known phone lens and like you said, expensive also. Priced out of reach for an amateur like me unfortunately. Would love to try them out tho. tongue.gif

Tried the fish eye lens. While adding a lens might add some flair, the main limitation is the phone camera and software.
