Fouind this on Reddit, can anyone confirm if they used anything similar before? Very interesting idea but I'm very new to option trading, I do mostly algo trading so wanna get some advice on some terminology or how to go about trying this out. May consider try with KLCI with a small fund just to test water.

Malaysia don't allow you to issue option. You can't short warrants overnight too. So it doesn't work here.

High Risk, yes. Satire & joke, I don't know if that is the case here because it's well documented in his records that it works. When you said not allow does it mean we don't have the option at all? Even through IB? Or like legally we can't? Because KLCI offers Options? https://www.bursamalaysia.com/trade/our_pro...ia_klci_options

Short warrents overnight - Was that mentioned in the thread?

Never heard you can short overnight.
AFAIK, Malaysia allows IDSS (Intraday Shortselling) only.

A lot people here never read it before commenting.. wheeling is a sort of a safe way of making money with options.. safer even when running it on ETFs.. that post is pretty decent ,all pros and cons listed . I did it alot during volatile times a few months ago, but switched to buy and hold during the run up.. I only run it on certain stocks due to capital requirements .. don't have the capital to run it on SPY etf.. need 32000 in case get assigned

So far wheeling made me money. Only got assigned rarely.. read more into it..

And you can't do it in Malaysia market, only us market..where retail are allowed to write options..

I think you should read more into the link, option is high risk correct, but this strategy is about mitigating the risk to minimal.

I'm reading around about it more, but mostly on Robinhood, trying to find a Malaysia alternative.

Are you generally option trading or did you also use this strategy as well?

For anyone interested, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcmZHsuUt_DOzcgIcLd0Qnw , this guy is sharing some easy-to-understand insights on what this is, I'm not endorsing any of this whatsoever, I personally am interested to learn and sharing what I've found smile.gif
