Come in come in , I know many of the ktards play the electric guitar and are lurking around the musician forum
Just wanna ask if anyone has ever seen PRS Custom 24 (USA made) in any guitar shops in Malaysia ? How much are they generally priced at ? 15 - 18k ? 18 - 20k ? 20- 25k ?
The prices I saw online are mostly in American Dollars and I don't think our local dealers would sell them at just 4 times the price
ask bentley, they're the distributor here. but they also dont seem to bother bringing in MIA PRS anymore...mostly all SE range only. they rather sell tom anderson, suhr etc.

bents damansara have them
in general 15k-20k is a good ball park, they tend to prefer bringing in the more expensive models

I guess they are not selling well.. kept seeing the same Core PRSs for years
some fker (nice dude really) urge me to try it in Swee Lee and I've been cursed since.
es339?? hmm they discontinue right? better get one now la
es339 discontinued? dont think so la...still got 2020 epi models too. but if they discontinue i really hope they fix the flaw in the horn...i tried it today...can just barely play the 22nd on high E...but damn cramped cos little finger smashing up against the horn...dont even need to think of bending / vibrato cos near impossible.

a 20th anni used one was posted couple days ago for rm9k...sold already...
thanks for the info guys i think I will just get a prs CE 24 (which Bentley quoted me Rm10k), cos I dont find the price jump between CE and Core is justifiable, but thats only my own opinion

CE? why not just get it used, hell why not get a Cu24 used
CE is like the bastard child of the PRS line, so there are a ton of cheap ones out there

The way I look at guitars is quite weird, i treat them like my wives, and I dont want to make love to someone else's wife hahaha
say only...belum cuba belum tau...oh wai...
actually what i am looking for is a hardtail 24...i think the MIA ones i think discontinued already...while they never made them for SE.
oh..not that hard tail...this one..guess is stop tail.
strat style HT not good meh lol
years ago i had a SE soapbar with non adjustable stop tail.. the simplicity is good but limited height and intonation adjustment really hampered the setup. end up selling it which is sad cause that's a nice feeling guitar

by right stop tail is radiused to the fretboard... so shouldn't be issue of limited height.. the first one shown of cos no issues with intonation as it's just like a tuneomatic... the second one sure limited... but decent la... old man guitar... not for widdly widdly woo.
yeah it was similar to the second one with not adjustable saddles.
the thing is after a certain height/length the whole bar will shift at an angle towards the headstock, im not sure the core models have this issue or not. the whole setup seems was intended only for .09 strings
i remember in the 2000s i look at those bridges and i thought wow so shiny n elegant. but after this experience i was like..prob not again..
im sure there are much better stop tails design now thoughs.. and 2020 LP specials has stoptails...hmm

actually stoptails have been on gibsons since 1950s...
not sure why the bar would shift...or is it the bridge posts that are tilting? ie. not deep / stable enough when raised higher?
lol i know.. just interesting they went back to stoptail for production models. it should be interesting to see the difference. I do prefer the lok with fewer parts..
For the prs if i remember right there were intonation screws at both ends of the stoptail. once i had heavier strings in the stoptail has to be adjusted further back for intonation but once there the post doesnt hold the bar firm enough so it will shift up.

not sure why it would tilt tho... cos the flared out bridge post head should be preventing that...unless the head is not wide enough...or still got some play between the bottom of head and top of bridge...

yeah.. i think its BOTH of that. bear in mind that was a SE model so USA bridges probably much better.
Some PRS also has TOM style bridge eg. the recent 594s, should be more versatile no?

TOM should be ok...but SE also dont have 24-fret with those for me i just dont like those individual / fender style saddles...cos quite hard for me to palm mute on them. also when setting up...i very lazy to use radius gauge.

Have you tried them though? PRS trem are very comfy compared to strats and their radius are pretty flat.
I dont use radius gauge to setup but i probably should.. downloading from pikguardian now..
i kept thinking why not many metallers use PRS.. Opeth in the 90s are a beautiful thing.
You saw the new Gibson Iommi sig SG? it has a stop tail too.
A bit gassing for an SG now.. kinda regret selling mine
i had the v1 Epi Iommi SG before...i also had a Gibson SGJ with 24 frets... i still got a 24-fret SG but it has a schaller floyd...part of me wants to block it...another part wants to fill up the cavity and put a TOM... but im doing a conscious attempt to move away from those and try a diff brand...

the monkey is ok la...i knew a guy who custom made one for iommi years ago before gibson came into the picture also. it's essentially a 64 special... nothing really great
strat...is...a...bit...boring... unless is a kramer baretta...
btw, the only SG i got GAS for is this...Epiphone SG Classic Worn P-90s...RM1630... first SG in like 17? yrs to come without that stupid veneer...has a proper 2-pc body...

in US la...
but veneers is a china thing.. even on the LP they put veneers... obviously top has always been flame maple veneer... but they also put maho veneer at back to make it look like 1pc...
that's why the only mic epi LP i looked at are solid colors like the matt heafy... gothic...or pelham blue... until this SG came along...
