Hi guys, I have been trading with Maybank2u for the past 5 years and I'm pretty fed up with their services. Their platform are regularly bugged, can only be accessed with IE, and worse of all, it does not reflect all your trading activities. Just last night, they double entered an order I placed for a stock and now are asking me to fork up the money for their mistake. Terrible platform to use and makes u pay for their mistakes. I feel like I lose more money due to their poor service than the actual stock itself.

Anyway, I'm looking for another platform to use. Would like to know any good recommendations if you guys have.

Thanks alot.

How do I sign up? Do I have to declare anything at their branch? I remember signing up for Maybank2u, their process was very tedious and I have to sign many paperwork.

Are you using Kenanga yourself? Mind sharing the sign up process?

I don't have kentrade because i see no one complain about kentrade so I assume kentrade is better compared to other platform. Just go their website and see the application procedure.

Just gave their contact number a call, they left me hanging on the phone and didn't get back to me. Then hang up after 3 mins.

Just called Mpay, they don't support overseas trading online and I will have to go through a broker if I were to trade international stocks. Means I will have to be calling somebody everytime I want to log an order. Big no no.

So we're talking about a broker for KLSE, yea? I think this poll here will help in your decision making.

I personally have used Rakuten Trade for 3 years and have no issues with it. but some people don't like it that it's just a nominee account (Rakuten purchase shares on your behalf, and you don't actually own the shares).

so people prefer M+ instead which is top in the poll.

I trade both KLSE and overseas market. Mostly Nasdaq & NYSE. Called M+ but they say need a broker to help me key in the order. Big no no for me. Probably will check out Rakuten Trade. Hopefully they don't have crappy customer service.

My recommendation is Hong Leong IB. I was able to link my Pay and Save account as my cash upfront, so effectively, my saving account is also my share trading cash acc. And it pays fairly high interest >2% if you trade frequently in addition to the normal perks.

If you have large enough cash balance, the interest can offset some of the brokerage charge, but not much lah.

And I love their HLIB app so far. Easy to use and see relevant info

Don't use Malaysian broker for overseas stock.
For oversea stock, use interactive broker or trading212.
No USD100K, or unable to generate USD10, use tradestation global (whitelabels of IB)

Yeah, I use UOB for Nasdaq shares, but only have T1 , then need to clear up already.

I remember need to sign up some form, give bank statement and some KYC process then done within 3 days.
