Lulz Shiki > Tohno....this much i'm certain from the 1s movie. The animation for that part was awesomez. And can i can really appreciate Kajiura's music for that scene.

Lots of BLABLABLA and philosophical mumbo jumbo about suicide.... not too had to decipher for the godly otaku but might be lost on more mortal viewers.

Not much was said on what happened to the spec guy...spirited away or something....but the whole movie seemed to be done in a cryptic way anyway.

Kara no Kyoukai, its the base of Tsukihime. u got to see Akiha, i mean Azaka Kokuto have a feeling for her Onii-chan n how they live in seperated house for long time etc
n the Aozaki Tohko is da sister of Tsukihime Aozoki, the special glasses is made by her which was stolen by Tsukihime's Aozaki to give to Tohno Shiki.

n iinm Azaka is in same magic council like Tohsaka Rin from, or something

Don't forget too, Aoko Aozaki sister of Touko Aozaki is mentor of Shiki Nanaya Tohno and one of the Three who achieve True Magic in Nasu Universe. She is known with her monicker, Miss Blue Gunner because she can accessed mirrorlike mana pools to harvest her power potential and title Blue is given to only one successor of Aozaki family.

Touko resented her sister bitterly since she denied of title Blue that she felt entitled to and perhaps jealous of Aoko's supreme mastery of true Magic.

It can be said that Shiki Nanaya Tohno stumbled upon Aoko by sheer miraculous accident in Tsukihime story just like how Mikia found Touko despite her putting space time barrier to insulate her working office from normal world dimension. She is impressed by this man, hence taking him to work as her assistant.

Comments on the movie, the soundtrack is dead on and absolutely gorgeous. The story is well paced and it is what TYPEMOON story should be; enigmatic and mysterious.

It has my seal of approval.

da soundtrack is done by Yuki Kajiura, known for it operatic + chant/choir in her music XD
love her music since Mai-Hime (sub-conciously since .hack though)

Since Noir (i think its her debut), Yuki Kajiura's music has been kinda hit and miss for me. Can't say i like most of the songs. But KnK's music is less Kajiura-ish thankfully and more fitting for them movie.

Yeah i suspected it was Kajiura then thought no cuz its not so blatantly Kajiura like the older works.

im sayin her style slightly change/improve thru time, hence u cant really tell her music if u compare her old one with new one. but if u listen all her song, u can tell its her.

I only listen to a few stuff she did, not a huge fan, but her work in knk is <3.

To put it simply, knk is a prototype of tsukihime.

It seems the 7 ghosts in vol 1 is in reference to a Japanese folklore where if you see the 7 ghosts of girls clad in white, it is a bad omen and you will die of a very bad fever soon.

i downloaded this the moment subs release it, but only watched it today ROFL
anyways...

yeah the ending theme of yuki kajiura brought back nostalgic mai hime dramatic music
animation was so so until the fight scene, with awesome camera view, good detailed animation to back the 360 degree angles.
what got me so hooked is the sound, and you prolly guessed it. it sounds SUPERB on 5.1. especially the first encounter of that ghost, omg the whispers coming from behind, creepy. then pushing onwards the fight scene... just, wow.

and the best part? the BGM is all fully surround supported with the choir singing from behind while the music playing from front and during those epic camera movements the song follows suit. even the ending yuki kajiura performance was made surround-tastic (if thats even a word )

I just noticed why I prefer the novel. the difference between the female Shiki and the male one is just by using the for their names 織 and 式

They made that a major salient story plot in 2nd movie; the duality of her persona.

Nothing much happened in vol 2. Nice atmosphere done with the music and visuals i give them that. But mere mortals will walk out of this movie unsatisfied i'm sure.

And does Kokutou's char get any more interesting later on? He seems to be fitting into "typical eroge main character who can't leave you alone" archetype too well. Even after witnessing a possible murder and almost getting possibly killed himself. Idiot.

Me too. Kind of frustrated at the "I DON'T WANT TO DIE" stuff. I'm considering myself one of the mere mortals here since i've never had any contact with Tsukihime material.

oh, that's because they decided to skip some part such as
- Shiki (織)'s death
- The promise that Shiki and kokutou made to go to collage together
- Who the real killer was

On the killer, you'd already know who she/he is if you look closely. It will only be revealed in Rakkyo 7

pretty much same feeling after watching ep2 today.
i think hardcore/loyal fans would like ep2 as it has quite a deep storyline, but to those thats unfamiliar with typemoon storyline (like me, that never watched tsukihime/fate series) just seriously wont know wtf is going on.

Seen it this morning at 0400 am, absolutely touching and beautiful. I love the feel of 2 badasses stumbled upon each other and instinctively knew that only one will walk from it alive.

Fujino is interesting and I can see why she is author's personal favourite character.

Very graphic though and the sound of bones breaking while being twisted is gruesome. Really gruesome.

umm nice episode, pretty nice fight scene as they were both "equal" (in the sense that shiki's opponent has powers, unlike first ep, lol ghost is lol, 2nd ep... kokutou )
5.1 were pretty awesome, as usual. although for this episode it sorta slacked, the best effect of this were done ON A DAMN DOOR (27:39 from gg-takajun subs to be exact)
ending theme was awesome, 2nd one wasnt so catchy, so 3rd i suppose was a good redemption. all in all i still prefer 1st, but this one's all good by itself

and main attraction.... FUJINO
nice body too. im sure kokuto wouldnt mind starting up a harem, despite that she got violated early on by so many shitheads. but hey, that onyl means she got experience now

I kinda forgot about Shiki's and SHIKI by the time i watched ep 3. I can't remember much about what happened in ep 2 anymore.... so i guess that's where the non-linear storytelling fails and is more for the T-M fanbois. But I did catch the last bit of ep 3 where Toukou promises to make Shiki a hand that can catch spirits, which led us to the suicide ghost in ep 1.

So like, her red leather jacket got messed up.....and i thought it was something important she bought in ep 2...and it reappears in ep 1, so i guess she bought a new one then? @_@

So Shiki's eyes basically can kill anything including Fujino's spiral energy as long as its used enough till she sees it?

LOL Toukou should've mentioned the client was her dad since the beginning, then Kokouto didn't have to go all the way down to that village for information gathering?

Yah but like i said due to non-linear episodes, very confusing for newbs like me. To me now it seems like : Ep4 > Ep 1 > Ep 3 > Ep 2.

due to event in eps 2, she was sent to hospital in eps 4. iinm she was sent to eps 1 hospital where the 'blind' girl is, where she know Mikiya in 1st place.

I'm guessing that's when SHIKI died/killed/disappeared, whatever.

forgot to mentioned in eps 2 n 4. iinm Azaka arent back from suburb area. Her reason she went there to get as distant as possible from Mikiya, so Mikiya would see her as a girl than his imouto. but Shiki got him 1st hence she hate Shiki ever since. still awaiting n hoping for Azaka n Shiki infiltration in all girl school eps
