I don't really need fancy subs to watch KnK. But I imagine if they would include english sub tracks they wouldn't Americanise it or anything (like what GG did). At this point, the only reason anyone would buy the BD is to enjoy the beautiful production - subs isn't really a priority anymore. At the moment I'm quite optimistic that they won't have engrish subs, lol.

i wouldnt be surprised if its true also. they've done a ton of upscaling on their bd releases. even horo season2. to think you paid 1.2k+ for 4 upscaled BD
The subtitles were ocr’d and retimed. We changed Rio to Lio because of the lion line. The subs having western name order and no honorifics is how the Aniplex subs came. Deal with it. There was also a very effortless effort to proofread the BD subs but the BD subs are Pretty Good and generally make more sense than the fansubs so we’re just going to chalk up any strangeness (read: proofreading laziness) as a result of :nasuwords:.
The release order will be “some random contrived order” based on when they’re finished encoding and being retimed. … The video quality of movies 1-7 unfortunately is kinda shitty (tho still better than dvd) and I’m pretty sure we’re only doing them still because TheFluff bought the BD box and took 2 days off of work to encode them. The rest of the movies are in some limbo of re-timing and re-re-re-encoding. Afaik, the next one that will get finished is 6.
Also TheFluff is butthurt about CoalGirls or something so there are separate FLAC audio files but idk what the f*** he wanted me to do with the files exactly. We’ll see when he wakes up. I assume a “separate FLAC pack for people who care” was the intention.
