Not many info or discussion i found about this streaming platform here especially about the content, region, pricing, vpn, apps, video quality and etc.

At first I had doubt. Prime Video content thumbnail does not look interesting and not many people talk about the content on this platform. So i decided to give a shot by free trial several episode The Boys, Jack Ryan, Le Mans, 7500, and many more.

Now i continue with subscribing. Have you tried ? Any suggestion what should i watch next ?

Already tried many years back. Very little content at that time, so eventually unsubscribed coz not worth it at all unless want to watch Clarkson only.
Is the library size and quality comparable to Netflix now?

I sometimes subscribe back if got TV series I want to see. Once finished I unsubscribe.

Reason the title is way too little for local version.

I don't want paid extra for VPN to US. Waste money and troublesome.

For local version, it is still same tiny catalog. I think not even 10% of Netflix.

That's very disappointing. They have a huge library in the US but very little in Malaysia. They should go back to charging USD2.99 per month.

Library size very very small compare to netflix. Video quality i think prime video better. I subs for variety from netflix.

Yes luckily now no need vpn but of course library is limited compare to US. I keep switching watching netflix, hbo, prime video every 3 or 4 days.

Those huge library including the option to rent movie / series if i'm not mistaken. Yeah i think it should be half the price when it comes to Malaysia or maybe not more than 5 usd.

I agree that prime's video quality is better compared to Netflix even last time.
The 4k HDR of the Grand Tour was simply amazing! I'm quite disappointed that their library is still so small in Malaysia. Netflix library in Malaysia is already so small compared to other markets, Amazon even much smaller

I'm more to Amazon Original series. Cant comment much since I just stream Prime Video for 3 weeks but it looks promising for my taste. Different style and different pace from original Netflix in my opinion.

Last night I tried using Prime Video app on my mibox 3. However after login, I notice there is no Profile switching like in the phone app .

When I looked for solution, many mibox s users also reported the same issue over the internet. If the account is shared with 3 users and all users watching on TV, they all end up watching in same profile.

At the moment, the only way to watch without disturbing other profile is to just chromecast it to the tv or watching it thru the phone.

Hurm so weird. Mine was never showed profile menu even if i quit and reopen the app. It went straight to library.

My app only update thru play store. I just tried your method, go back until close notification pop up and reopen the app. Still straight to library, no profile menu showing.

On phone and windows 10 app both no problem switching profile. It's just on my mibox 3 cannot view / switch the profile. Hope they fix this bug in next version. Not a big issue on my side because still can watch.

Initially subscribed just for Grand Tour & unsubscribed after series ended. Then I saw they have Battlestar Galactica in their catalog. Subscribed again just for that & then there’s Parks & Recs, The Shield, House...I’m hooked.

Oh & all those football documentaries especially the Leeds Utd one...fabulous!

Content mostly useless and outdated.

I havent watch the documentary yet but the reviews quite good especially from football fans. Really cant stop watching drama from amazon original.

Standard old movies and series, yes very boring but for amazon original contents i can say very interesting, at least for my taste.

Australia subscription here, can even watch in Malaysia. There are few good series, The boys, the tick, hunter(nazi), American Gods, and a few more. The catalog for movies are disappointing though

Yes the movies selection very terrible. Small catalog plus nothing interesting to watch for my taste. Just stick for the series at the moment.

Use a US VPN (im using surf shark) and view using your browser via amazon.com to unlock most of the american content. Works well for me.

I use surfshark too. It's a bit frustrated to use browser to access other region. The prime app so sneaky to detect vpn and not allow to stream when on vpn.

Make a mistake, already sign up for ExpressVPN which been reviewed by alot of sites mentioning the best vpn to bypass these Amazon USA or UK. In the end, keep getting block by Amazon. Im not sure about USA account. but for india, i pay using gift card. Billing address have to study a bit and faking it for the country such as zip code, state, or generate random phone number from google.

Amazon Prime Video really cannot compete with other streaming services. This year, i havent found new series that really got me excited. Latest show, The Invincible got quite hype especially after saw a lot of memes on 9gag. After finish The Invinvible, nothing else interesting to watch.

I have UK Prime on my Firestick and it opens up a whole new world of other shows not specifically on Prime. ITV, BBCiPlayer, Film4, Fawesome, and subscription service to Britbox, and NOW.

The Prime video was secondary and when I came back to Malaysia realised it was heaven sent to be able to keep in touch with my UK shows. I use Smart DNS. No need to fidget with VPN. Some people complained that their couldn’t use ExpressVPN properly. Just FYI, Amazon bought the parent company that owns ExpressVPN.

You can try using SmartDNS free for two weeks. It also allows you to watch US Netflix too. The adjustment is through your router, or iPad.

Personally UK Prime has better content than US Prime. There are many shows not available on the regular Prime Video vs Prime UK account.

Wow. I'm resurrecting this thread. Most Singapore Prime Video subscribers from Malaysia may find it useful.

Short version: Unless you use your mobile phone to watch Prime Video, recent updates mean you will not be able to watch locked content. Because you can't key in your PIN. Because you didn't verify your age. Because nowhere online could point you to the right page.

I had a customer service officer telling me to unsubscribe from the Amazon Singapore site and resubscribe to the Prime Video site. Even their CSO doesn't know these steps!

Luckily a friend happened to a Reddit post and did the following, which will solve the age verification thing.

1) Using your Windows 10/11 PC, download the Prime Video app from the Microsoft Store. You must use this app.

2) Open the app. Login to the app.

3) Once you're logged in, find any content - TV series or movies - that has the padlock icon on it and click to view it.

4) The page for the content will open. At the top of the app, a bar will appear and says something to the effect that you need to verify your age. Click on "Verify your age."

5) Your default browser will appear and open the link. It's a Prime Video page where you need to key in your date of birth. Set your date of birth here and make sure it's over 21.

If you have previously set up your PIN for locked content, use the same PIN. You do not need to change it. If you have not set your PIN, the set PIN page might appear here. Or you have to go to Settings and Parental Controls to set your PIN.

6) The browser will now go to the same page of the content you want to watch on Step 4. And now you can watch the content.

On your TV or Android box, when you want to watch your locked content, enter your PIN before the content can be played.
