RM38 a month. I primarily use Amazon Prime for its shopping when I was living in the UK. The Prime video was secondary and when I came back to Malaysia realised it was heaven sent to be able to keep in touch with my UK shows. I use Smart DNS. No need to fidget with VPN. Some people complained that their couldn’t use ExpressVPN properly. Just FYI, Amazon bought the parent company that owns ExpressVPN.

You can try using SmartDNS free for two weeks. It also allows you to watch US Netflix too. The adjustment is through your router, or iPad.

Personally UK Prime has better content than US Prime. There are many shows not available on the regular Prime Video vs Prime UK account.

Reason you’re getting blocked by Amazon when using ExpressVPN is that I read somewhere Amazon bought the parent company which owns ExpressVPN.

Thanks for your info, the price still cheap compare to netflix malaysia. Since i already subs for 1 year prime, have to continue watching but my only focus was original amazon content. Other content i just watch on netflix and bbc content from tm unifi tv package.

I use Surfshark vpn on phone when using prime and so far can watch usa content.

That why . . . too bad mine VPN subscription end next year, not gonna sign up for another VPN for now.

How can I know what movie list Amazon prime Malaysia got?

Also can I use surfshark change to US region?

Can used VPN and switch to US no issue.

Wow. I'm resurrecting this thread. Most Singapore Prime Video subscribers from Malaysia may find it useful.

Short version: Unless you use your mobile phone to watch Prime Video, recent updates mean you will not be able to watch locked content. Because you can't key in your PIN. Because you didn't verify your age. Because nowhere online could point you to the right page.

I had a customer service officer telling me to unsubscribe from the Amazon Singapore site and resubscribe to the Prime Video site. Even their CSO doesn't know these steps!

Luckily a friend happened to a Reddit post and did the following, which will solve the age verification thing.

1) Using your Windows 10/11 PC, download the Prime Video app from the Microsoft Store. You must use this app.

2) Open the app. Login to the app.

3) Once you're logged in, find any content - TV series or movies - that has the padlock icon on it and click to view it.

4) The page for the content will open. At the top of the app, a bar will appear and says something to the effect that you need to verify your age. Click on "Verify your age."

5) Your default browser will appear and open the link. It's a Prime Video page where you need to key in your date of birth. Set your date of birth here and make sure it's over 21.

If you have previously set up your PIN for locked content, use the same PIN. You do not need to change it. If you have not set your PIN, the set PIN page might appear here. Or you have to go to Settings and Parental Controls to set your PIN.

6) The browser will now go to the same page of the content you want to watch on Step 4. And now you can watch the content.

On your TV or Android box, when you want to watch your locked content, enter your PIN before the content can be played.

But if you enroll in Amazon Prime SG, they'll give you access to Prime Video. That's SG$2.99 or about RM11 a month.

Do you guys enroll Prime video on other countries? I'm thinking of adding new stream site because want to watch the boys

Btw, is it similar to netflix where you could switch vpn country to view the titles exclusive to that region?
Or you still can't view those because your account tied to specific country.

I use Surfshark VPN. It works with Netflix and Spotify. Didn't try it with Disney+ Hotstar because the app is maintained by Hotstar India.

But VPN won't work with Prime Video. I tunneled through SG and Prime Video won't work, even though I got my account from there.
