Just recently found out that Zaki spec, one of the mechanics that I admired for his neat and tidy work is actually a scammer. I actually almost gave him my car to restore last year, but didnt luckily.

What happened was he took many customers money but didnt start doing their car. One of the viral video is a customer's car, a satria evo was left stranded at his shop for 3 freaking years although already paid 8k. All around his shop also got many cars stranded. Then zaki spread fake news saying that customer only gave 2k and went missing for a long time, thats why he didnt do his car. But the customer came out with a video proving zaki is spreading lies. In fact he has been chasing zaki and zaki kept on ignoring him.

Actually even my malay penang mech very slow in doing his job and needs me chase constantly. Really sad, malay mech usually kerja tangan power, but many are really slow and some also scammer. Most of my chinese mech always kerja fast but they prefer doing stock cars, thats why my mech usually is malay mech.

modding cars is a very labour intensive job and 1 mech can only work on 1 car at a time, those famous mechs like the one u mentioned are very slow cos they have too many cars to handle

Use fake engine oil n fake engine oil filter then charge like use ori or slightly cheaper.

Stock car already got reference and easy to fix. Mod car no details what was done and need time to check whats wrong.

I usually go with chinese. Confirm final price, all settle, proceed. Job done. End of story. I dont believe the ones that give lectures and sky high promises and talk big.

The guy's satria already converted to evo engine. But because kena curi, when he got back his car the engine head gone d. So he give to zaki to rebuilt. Initially say 3-4 months can settle. Then promise promise say believe him, say his worker kahwin, say his worker problem, then missing, then say no money (so he add another 6k become total 8k),then still no do, chasing till moon also no do, until now 3 years d.

What is GRA and whr the location? I'm at penang so if possible penang location lol

He is not slow. He is scammer because he took money then promise can do in few months, keep on repeat his promise and give many reasons. Finally 3 years belum do anything except cat engine bay (which also start to karat d lol)

That customer got money la. When zaki ask for money he just give without delay. Like me, he went to zaki because (he stated himself).


1) kerja tangan kemas from zaki youtube and instagram
2) he wanted to support malay community since he also malay.
3) zaki video always start with "kita mulakan dengan bismillah", so he thinks zaki is good person, he like.

This one I think honest one albeit not Proton/Mitsubishi pomen..Used to go to this workshop because my friend kaki modified Honda car..

Personally i dont have pref over the race of my mech. Whoever does a good job and has good reviews, i go to that mech.

When i rode ZZR250, a fellow rider (melei) ventured into fixing ZZR small time, i let my bike be his first guinea pig for complete rebuild. he gets knowledge and skill, i get my bike fixed.

When i first got my FZ and kena makan minyak hitam issue, one guy (melei) operated out from the porch of his parent's house and got good reviews in group, i send my bike to him, all the way from klang to kajang. today he opens hiw own shop and hires other melei kids as worker. bless him.

One street away from my house got a motor shop, but i still go to a mechanic fren (cainis) in sg long to support. bcoz we know the mech wont overcharge and at the same time still kasi support. FZ saja any motor shop also can fix, why would i want to take the trouble, right?

it's not the race. it's the visible results that speaks for itself.

by the way still havent found indian mech.

Typical issue with a lot of Malay businesses, really bad financial management. They always tend to spend the money from the sales (not only profit) for their own expenses and think that they can roll the money from newer sales coming in. That’s why a lot of Malay business during PKP even one month tutup cannot sustain even though they have been in business for years.

Yeah this one also i got see. I rmb his workshop is MB garage because he said MB stands for moga berjaya. Haha.

And he's at penang. One weekend i went to his shop to friend friend with honda racing kaki and also see his work, but sadly that time tutup kedai pulak.

The client very chill one. Because zaki didnt totally ghost him, he keeps on giving him chance. This client for 3-4 cars including a range rover, so that car is just a track car to him. Not important or priority.

India also really depends, usually if ayam go indian mechanic ayam will scan his workshop fully first to identify if he’s a drinker or not. If got see beer or liquor bottle around ayam will terus reject.

Ayam quite curious why a lot of yindian mech tend to specialise in the not so common brands, quite a few yindian mech that specialise in Volvo, pug and even chevrolet.

Too laidback and start to gedik after receiving so many deposits maybe..... thats why go enjoy sakan first and drag the project/deliveries.

lol.. I think every race workshop's has it's own problem. My experiences, sent to cainis famous workshop at sunway, took 1 month++ to diagnosed and replace a o2 sensor. When the bill came out, I pee'd on my pant RM4k++.

I mean every "famous" performance workshop should have a high end diagnosing tool right? That's how I started to repair my own car since then unless require tuning.

Mine is cari barang for very long and finally told me to find myself. I was like hey, i'm not the one with connections here and its not like its super rare. Finally find the parts myself took it to another shop and custom make and bring back to the workshop to pasang (driveshaft). Another is 1 month wait for clutch replacement, also finally ask me find myself. Only took me few days to find and confirm a similar clutch from exedy (also thanks to a ktard for helping).

I had a dusun mechanic in Sabah last time. Insisted on me using a non synthetic engine oil brand call Samurai which he sells. Problem is its rm140 for 4L non synthetic which is more expensive than synthetic.
Anyone heard of samurai engine oil before

Ah beng mostly mod vios is true la but they usually mod looks only. For power need major mod add turbo as vios chassis cannot put in many performance engines.

Hobby la. Car is like their babies. But my car i didnt mod a lot la. Still below 25k after add all. Now just maintain and play play with bmw 320, bmw 330, honda civic 1.5T, and other modded cars only.

used to go to Matspeed, remember that time only had one mech that sleeps at the shop.

That issue quite common in mechanic field I guess, it's either they have trust/financial issue or they're not confident on buying the right stuff.

For me, I'll ask him to call his supplier directly and I'll confirm the right parts and pay the mechanic for the parts on the spot. That'll speed up the whole process before leaving your car for weeks or months.

yup exactly. thats why cant find many chinese mechanics in this segment. Ts fall into this category unfortunately. rempits. You see the recent steering that TS change also know d la. only *insert race* will change to that.

Chinese got play old japanese cars also, usually the toyota corolla seg with blacktop engine.
And i got one chinese mech playing nissan neo engine last time also, but he is in sp, so rarely go to him.

I memang slow because i only got to know it by youtube lol. Then his shop still can open and he still can cont scam ppl. Malays are a very patient bunch i guess.
