Just recently found out that Zaki spec, one of the mechanics that I admired for his neat and tidy work is actually a scammer. I actually almost gave him my car to restore last year, but didnt luckily.

What happened was he took many customers money but didnt start doing their car. One of the viral video is a customer's car, a satria evo was left stranded at his shop for 3 freaking years although already paid 8k. All around his shop also got many cars stranded. Then zaki spread fake news saying that customer only gave 2k and went missing for a long time, thats why he didnt do his car. But the customer came out with a video proving zaki is spreading lies. In fact he has been chasing zaki and zaki kept on ignoring him.

Actually even my malay penang mech very slow in doing his job and needs me chase constantly. Really sad, malay mech usually kerja tangan power, but many are really slow and some also scammer. Most of my chinese mech always kerja fast but they prefer doing stock cars, thats why my mech usually is malay mech.

modding cars is a very labour intensive job and 1 mech can only work on 1 car at a time, those famous mechs like the one u mentioned are very slow cos they have too many cars to handle

thats the problem with mechanics once they become famous, their quality will drop oso

Mine is cari barang for very long and finally told me to find myself. I was like hey, i'm not the one with connections here and its not like its super rare. Finally find the parts myself took it to another shop and custom make and bring back to the workshop to pasang (driveshaft). Another is 1 month wait for clutch replacement, also finally ask me find myself. Only took me few days to find and confirm a similar clutch from exedy (also thanks to a ktard for helping).

90s Honda/Mitsubishi/Proton scene pretty much dominated by Malay, can easily tell by the fb group members

but city/vios scene more diversed, since a lot of youngsters and they do cosmetic mods only

yup exactly. thats why cant find many chinese mechanics in this segment. Ts fall into this category unfortunately. rempits. You see the recent steering that TS change also know d la. only *insert race* will change to that.

esp vw and bmw. but older gen bmws are dominated bt malays.

Eh i was just trying out the steering wheel la. Go into kedai saw its cheap and pegang also nice, then try la. I dont so care about the looks.
Chinese got play old japanese cars also, usually the toyota corolla seg with blacktop engine.
And i got one chinese mech playing nissan neo engine last time also, but he is in sp, so rarely go to him.

I memang slow because i only got to know it by youtube lol. Then his shop still can open and he still can cont scam ppl. Malays are a very patient bunch i guess.
