Anyone here have Pimped out decks?

Take for example http://www.starcitygames.com/phpBB2/viewto...r=asc&start=425
? Just wondering if anyone here is hardcore enough to do that smile.gif

meh, the Street Wraiths weren't foil and the Necro was wb... tongue.gif i don't think any normal person would have the money to foil out a deck like that. as for me. i'll usually just black border and Japanize a type 1 deck.

Has anyone been doing testing for Post Ravnica Standard?
A lot of decks will die off from the result,

Most notably
Angelfire - The lost of its biggest cards namely Helix, Remand, and most importantly the Karoo's hurt this deck too much.
Project X - We know its dead.
Solar Flare - Although variants of this is still possible somewhat. Loses Castigate, Angel of Despair, Court Hussar.
Martyr - Good Riddance. not dead but Proclamation is gone. WEE!
NarcoBridge - Useless without the Grave Troll and Stinky

Decks that hardly lose anything at all.
Dralnu
Mono U Pickles,
Mono R Gargadon
I do not think of myself as an expert so I might be wrong on this. But what you do you guys think ? I'll be analyzing the set very very carefully because I'll be attending the UK Champs coming up next month.

i won't bother testing for post Rav standard until i get the official spoiler. at the moment, the list on mtgs is still missing ~120 cards and some of them aren't 100% confirmed. i'll also have to prepare for my own Champs but i don't want to build a deck around a card and find out later that its a POS. that said, i think i'll be playing something with Tarmogoyf smile.gif .

hey anyone from penang here im going to penang this saturday to buy some cards if can, anyone can tell me which part in penang where magic gatherers play their card???
*
you should drop by Midlands 1-Stop. the store there is called twenty-twenty on the 4th floor. most players from penang will be hanging around there.

one thing i realize while i was back home in penang was the players just didn't do a whole lot of testing for type 2 unless its regionals, nationals or ptq. i would assume its the same in other parts of malaysia. people mostly just draft or playtest for whatever constructed format is in season at the time.

i think the change here is for the suggested retail price. unless the distributors price changes, packs should stay the same in malaysia. the price increase worldwide happened because wizards increased the distributors price. if there's going to be an actual increase in pack prices in malaysia, it should be rm1 extra and no more than that.

one question, can those rebel searchers search for Crip Swap and play it for free?
*
no, you can't search crib swap with a rebel searcher, at least not with amrou scout. wizards changed the scout to "Rebel permamnent card" instead of "Rebel card".

they've also change the text on defiant vanguard so i'd assume all rebel searcher can only search for a permanent.

Does anybody know what Legacy decks the M'sia contingent took to Worlds 2007? Personally quite disappointed at the coverage. More shocked at the fact that 2x 2-land Belcher managed to take 2x Japanese players to top8. A deck every Threshold deck can deal with ... Anyway I Digress.
*
imo, belcher didn't do that well. one was 2-1-2 and the the guy had enough points to draw himself into t8 and the other went 3-2. both of which is fair considering the large field of players.

hopefully wizards will be nice enough to post legacy decklists later. i'd like to see what the pros came up with for legacy.

Sorry but I am wondering where can i get older cards for vintage and legacy? Went to CC at Subang and DJ but they sale mostly T2 cards. Hmmm. How about Manawerx and CCEGames. Do they sale stuff like dual lands n Force of will etc??  Or i can only get them online.. Thank you.

i'm pretty sure cce has vintage stuff but most of it belongs to the store owner or something. victor who runs manawerx also has vintage stuff. these are the only 2 places so far that i've seen vintage cards displayed in-store.
