if im not wrong..when the sprite comes into play..the cip goes on the stack. then he plays lash out killing the sprite, reducing the number of faeries..upon resolution the crusher is then an illegal target. correct me if im wrong smile.gif

i think legality is checked twice.. meaning its legal upon announcement of the target, but illegal as the ability resolves, and therefore the trigger fizzles.
