i think your decision is the right one Mark and there is nothing wrong about it. Its not about you taking advantage of him. Its both players duty to maintain the game state & if you dont call Mike up coz he has 39 cards ... Most definitely you are at fault. Furthermore its his duty to make sure he played with a tournament legal decksize. (40 cards and more ) . Regarding what you said when you played against KalSpawn. I think most ppl would naturally react to that. In fact even LOCO does it. Try correcting any of his games. He would rise defensively he is my opponent and not you. But i feel its still the duty of the viewer to point out mistakes when it happens. Pointing out includes calling the judge. If both parties missed it. Then simply its both players mistakes in not maintaining the game state. Ofc its much easier said then done. Id probably react defensively as well if someone pointed out some stuff . Especialli if i was losing. The POINT is ... it is not wrong to POINT out Mistakes but its wrong to teach someone to do something in a game or remind someone of something. For instance triggers that have the "may" word or costs that have to be paid at upkeep like the mogg war marshall or the pact of negation.. Its a different thing all together and most players seem to miss it. Especialli in KL.

QUOTE(evofantasy @ Nov 1 2007, 07:46 PM) i tried reasoning but it says that's the way so i jz leave it to him to kil himself... nope if the clash is the same means he did not win. anyways bout the split card the cmc = 4 rite? its alwasy confusing as for bob it would deal 4 damage to you and mike said its possible to tutor rise/fall with dimir house guard... so if the clash is the same no1 wins and the clash wont resolve rite? About the Rise and Fall yes Dimir house guard can tutor it as it searches for one of the 2 cards in the split cards where as for BOB it says total converted mana cost which is u add both the mana cost 2 gather. thats your total mana cost |

yes yes pm or email me pls ... i have so far confirmed one full pod ... the details are as follows ...
Date : Every Saturday Time : 2.30 pm Venue : CCE Old Klang Road Price : RM32 Prize Payout : 2-1-1-1-1 + 2 boosters for the 1st place player and 1 booster for the 2nd place player. No ID is allowed . No splitting Packs... Sanctioning : DCI Sanctioned 16k Remarks : Keep what u draft for all commons and uncommons, Foils goes to the draft pod winner . Each player in the pod gets 2 pick one rare for himself. Meaning say u open the 3 packs and u opened like 1. Jace , 2. Profound Command 3, Thoughtseize. And you were passed say Cryptic command which u drafted as well. From your pool of cards you get to keep 1 Rare no matter what your placing is. Meaning even if you lost all your rounds you still get to keep one rare of your choice i.e. Thoughtseize for this instance.... So anyone else interested pls email me @ blade825@hotmail.com |

actualli you are all wrong ... thats my opinion coz i think the question is not to draft well without rare drafting but its actualli striking a balance with both. Nothing is wrong with rare drafting and winning the draft. its hard but ppl can still do it ... ofc it takes a lot of practice... thats my 2 cents

thats the mistake ... even pro players rare draft at times honestly. Always ppl come up with this so called the right way 2 draft which doesnt involve in picking money cards . What i think is the right way is
striking a balance in both. Because i see top players do that and win. So undoubtedly its very wrong to suggest otherwise. If you draft on Magic online u will know what im talking about. That`s as real as it gets.... |
