Alot of people are telling Lorwyn got lousy rares and they don't like the feel of it. Oh well , different people different perspective , one thing is for sure , with Lorwyn cycling in , the meta will change again. This time very significantly.

10-14 days for shipping . Sellers usually not responsible for lost / damaged mail. Cards can be obtained cheaper but there's always a possiblity of something not going right. I've ordered cards from ebayers with 12000+ feedback but got nothing even after he said he sent out replacements.

Just my 2 cents worth though...

You can find lots of fake cards in China , but those are the lousy quality ones with glossy finish and out-of-focus printing.

The high quality fakes are mainly for top dollar vintage cards. Cards like Power 9 , Library of Alexandria , Bazaar of Baghdad and Dual Lands....

For type 2 it's simply not worth the effort to try and produce fakes. Magic the Gathering cards are printed by Carta Mundi of Belgium. Carta Mundi is a company which prints high-quality Playing Cards which are used by casinos for gambling. As such the security features for the cards are really high. Many experienced dealers can tell a fake with a abit more close-up inspection.

I have very sad news to announce to the Magic Community in Malaysia. Commencing the release of Lorwyn you will see price increase for retail boosters for all Magic the Gathering products in Malaysia and Singapore. I wish that I could provide further details , but all that I know for now is that prices per booster will be somewhere in the RM12 to RM12.90 region.

As a player as well as a retailer , this news is very very sad news to announce. Please be aware that we at Manawerx may or may not be carrying any Lorwyn products on the official release date (13th of October) until further clarification of the situation. So please check with us beforehand.

This is such a shame as with the recent releases of Time Spiral Block , Magic was seeing a comeback in Malaysia.

I wonder if we should launch a petition as players / retailers....

Somewhere on mtg.com they mentioned that the 2-2 blocks will rotate out together. But the drawback behind that is that the investment in the last set of the 2-2 block will only see a couple of months of standard play before rotating out.

I don't know how to vent my frustration and disappointment with Hasbro now..... aih

Manawerx too doesn't have that in stock ~! I think whole of KL competitive playing circuit , you're unlikely to even find like 100 copies of the card.

And with the price increase for boosters , it's basically going to be impossible to get locally.

(Sealed = 1 Tournament Pack + 2 Boosters)

Prizes : 1st Place - 12 Boosters + 1 Lorwyn Life Counter
2nd Place - 6 Boosters + 1 Lorwyn Life Counter
3rd and 4th Place - 3 Boosters
5th to 8th - 2 Lorwyn Boosters
9th place onwards 1 Lorwyn Booster

(Example 16 players in FNM; top 8 players get a booster each)

*Please take note that Lorwyn is not legal yet for our tournament until 20th October 2007. Ravnica, Guildpact and Dissension cards will phase out after 20th October 2007. And yes, Coldsnap stays legal in Type 2 as it rotates out together with Time Spiral Block.

Added on November 7, 2007, 3:12 amIMHO , the reason why drafting raises player skill is simply because when new players draft , they are expose to the many new mechanics that a new set / expansion has to offer. As opposed to playing constructed where they get to play with only a few mechanics / archtypes.

With regular drafting , a new player will be able to learn the synergetic interactions between cards. And if that new player drafts with more experienced players , he will be exposed to how the rules and timings work in a proper game. Thereby teaching him how to become a better player.

BTW , players can always keep their packs to draft , but keep in mind if you're going to draft in a shop , the very least you could do is buy a booster or give some sort of token sum for using your own packs. Each individual store will have a different policy towards this issue.
