Maxis Fibre is now experiencing horrible pings to Singtel. Pings as high as 180ms-200ms.
Connection to certain Japanese servers such as Frontier IDC seems like speed restricted only to 2-4Mbps.

What is happening? Undersea cable affected again due to Vietnam typhoon?

Just checked the updated peering list for Maxis.

Why did they go and removed Singtel from its IPv4 Peering list?

Now I'm getting hell all over connecting to various servers across Asia especially Japan, and Singapore.

The most affected ISPs I'm suffering with increased latency and extremely slow speeds are:

M247 (AS9009)
IDC Frontier Japan (AS4694)
Singtel (AS9911)

If you're using Maxis Fibre try to ping and do a tracert to Singtel. Horrible!

Maxis's international routing is totally in the mess now.

This is what happens when you over rely on just a single carrier for your Japan/US routing needs which takes you through HK as its regional HQ gateway.

Finally they buck up and improvised their IPv4 peering.
They added another major international transit carrier to backup the existing NTT Asia and Sparkle links.

I've since rerouted my cloud VPS servers and now everything back to normal. Hopefully when AAG cable gets back to full capacity things will improve.
