About 100 years ago, Meleis had simple names like Awang, Usop, Mat, Berahim. The women too had short names, some were after flowers like Mawar, Melati. These days, they have evolved into four distinct themes:

      1. Russian
        Amelia Natashia Anessia Binti Muhammad Alif

      2. Arabs
      Muaz Ishaq Bin Ismail
      Jannatul Humairah Binti Muhammad Shahir

      3.Angmoh
        Nurain Stephanie Binti Syed Davidson

      4. Chinese
        Wong Fatimah Binti Abdullah

The Chinese names had evolved too, I notice

Now they have gweilo front names(sometime based on fruit also) eg Apple Lee Pei Sin

But Indians I dunno    

Last time Rajendran, now still Rajendran ?    

I dont see any Rahul, or Prasad, or Shah
