Hello politicians, if they sick, let them rest! The ordinary citizens why need to take great risk to vote for you? If the Sabahans got sick due to vote for your party, is your party going to take care of them? Their family?

More important, don't BRING BACK THE VIRUS FROM SABAH TO PENINSULAR!

If you die die want to vote in Sabah, stay in Sabah for 2 weeks la. And once back to Peninsular, do self quarantine pls!

KOTA KINABALU: The Election Commission (EC) will not stop anyone from going out to exercise their right to vote in Sabah's election this week, despite a spike in Covid-19 cases in the eastern part of the state.

However, the EC feels that the spiralling pandemic may affect voter turnout on Sept 26.

EC chairman Datuk Abdul Ghani, when contacted today, said those who are Covid-19 positive and are meant to undergo quarantine are advised to remain home to avoid any further spread of infection.

He said transmission on a larger scale could occur if Covid-19 patients are exposed to the community, which could lead to new clusters.

"The commission will not prevent voters from exercising their rights, but it is better for them to stay home if they are positive and quarantined.

"They will put others at risk, including staff at polling centres. We are worried there will be new clusters from the election, as cases are increasing in the east coast," he said.

Abdul Ghani stressed that the standard operating procedures set by the Health Ministry (MoH) and the National Security Council will be observed throughout the campaigning and polling periods, including dedicating special rooms for those who are symptomatic.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob had said the Cabinet Committee will, on Tuesday, discuss security and health issues in Sabah ahead of the election.

The discussion will be carried out with the MoH and police.

Recently, interim Chief Minister and Parti Warisan Sabah president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said every voter has the right to perform their duty, even if they are in poor health.

He suggested a separate queue line be provided for Covid-19 patients.

However, Sabah Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin voiced support for Ismail Sabri, saying that Covid-19 patients should not be allowed to go out to vote.

Our electoral system aren't prepared or equipped to deal with this situation.

EC failed to reform anyway, especially since its chairman abandoned the post to be the house speaker.

At the very least, reform for mailed ballot. So EM voters in WM can vote without having to return & vice versa.

That alone will cut off any unnecessarily flights.

Technically, they cannot be prohibited from voting but they can be prohibited from leaving quarantine so basically it;s up to the government if they want to arrange for them to be allowed to vote or not.

YES, of course! IF Sabah has no outbreak, no one care!

But why on earth the rakyat want to risk their life to vote for joker party? Any party is a joke! Both sides got frogs. A lot.

And why you think the tiny percent of Sabahans in Peninsular will make a difference in the outcome?

However REMEMBER JUST 1 JOKER NOT FOLLOWING SOP CAUSE A MAJOR OUTBREAK IN NORTHERN AREA, AND YOU KNOW WHO! 1 joker affects thousands, not only health but business affected as well!

But these few I would say hundred or even thousands of Sabahans in Peninsular who loves their State so much, sacrifice their money and high risk (airport, airplane is high risk), to vote for their love party, and so what? A new Sabah? lol.

And how these few thousands can affect the result?

As a matter of fact, it is those who are still living in Sabah should be given the right to determine their goven, not those living in Peninsula.

Many people are selective in comparing.

Why SG so rich and advance compare to Malaysia? No, no, you can't compare like that.

Why SG can have election during pandemic and Malaysia cannot? Yes, you can compare now.

Why SG has high salary and MY low salary? No, no, you can't compare like that.

simple, SG kiasi follow SOP. Look at SG, one resident not wearing face mask or pull his/her mask to his/her chin, it become a BIG ISSUE. Here we see that everywhere, no one question.
