But a shit defence cannot get us moving upward

I think Lampard are too emotionally attached to certain players especially those younger players clouding him a better judgement.
Maybe he think those not working hard in training or doesn't friend friend with him are lesser of a player and not fit to play in the matches.

He need to know certain players have different attitude and way of training to fit into his game plan.

1 more things, CB, Kepa(he bad but he cannot take 100% the blame) and others players in defence only can do so much if the Manager doesn't have a clue how to setup a proper defence and only know attacks!

Previous season, we have transfer ban and Lampard was lucky to get No.4 position with worst defence record.
This season blame pulak no pre season

As much i like Lampard to succeed as Chelsea next great manager but i just don't see it in him especially if he doesn't sort out those basic defence 101.

If Lampard remain like as now, I don't see him can last until end of season unless of cos, others top 6 clubs also sucks!

Just watched the highlight, look like Mendy really good and very tall


As usual, lampard still same with favouritism players and novice with defending setup, he either really stubborn and not a bright prospect manager material especially with players play time management.

It won't be long, either lampard get the heat or mount got burnout playing so much play time.

I think Lampard see Mount as his younger self during playing days, surely there are unconsciously favoritism.
Let hope Mount doesn't suffered burn out until end of season or we will playing with 10 men

This is not a good sign to become best manager. great manager need to look at the players and get most out of the players at his disposal. A little bit biased toward certain players is understandable but at the expenses of others players and team performance overall is big no no especially over prolong period of matches.

I believe Lampard trying to proven a point that our academy players can matched the standard of others overseas star players
And at the same time returning the favour to those academy players for fighting and winning top 4 place last season.


We just sit and enjoy the ride of this weird season only.
