Still thinking in what to do with this airwell.
When on Aircond, Aircond cool air will escape. If Lizard and spiders move in, it will be hard to clean.
Built a room/attic is expensive. Should I just close it with plaster ceiling ? Any better suggestion?

Keep it for better ventilation.

Cold air goes down while hot air goes up.
Your aircon efficiency *may* be affected slightly but you won't turn it on 24/7, correct?
Fresh air outweight this...
