New Apple Watch model that combines Series 6 design with more affordable price. Apple Watch SE.

damn the blue aluminium case is gated for AW6

Basically a series 4 watch with altimeter and compass at a price tag approx RM1.2-1.3k.

Or you can add in about ~RM600-700 and get the series 6 with always on display, blood oxygen monitoring and faster chip
(I wouldn’t include ECG here cause malaysia doesn’t have it)

Nothin wrong with series 5, it still has always on display n ECG (if activated) more than the SE. But of course SE is cheaper.

Hi guys. Was waiting for the announcement to see if there’s a price drop in Series 3 - always wanted to get one but don’t have enough budget.

Now the SE is very tempting. Between Series 3 (42mm) RM999 vs SE (44mm) RM1349, the difference is just RM350.

Is it worth to get the Series 3? Only thing pulling me back is the screen size whereby SE is 30% bigger slightly.

I would go for SE for the longer support of the S5 chip & bigger screen.

without ECG still can track heart rate no worries. ECG is an additional function, more canggih. but I think ECG is not even approved in M'sia yet right? judging by the other thread of Watch 5.

If between Watch 5 and SE, of course Watch 5 is better. Has ECG and Always On Display. But for budget conscious ppl who can live without ECG, can consider SE.

battery life for 44mm is better a lot than 40mm ?

If buy from shop and opt for solo loop, wonder how do they pack it..since so many sizes and color combination...hv to pre-order first?

Our AARs here will only sell certain models. Mainly the ones u can see on at here. Once u click into any of those watches, your luck will be lessen as they might not have it and asked u to order it online @ Apple's website. If you try to ask them to order for u so that you can do installments, they will say no. Straight purchase also no.

I went to overseas Apple Stores before. They also don't carry ALL of the loops bundled tgt with the watch. They definately sold more options bundled together than our AARs but once you go start changing the strap colour, casing etc etc, that's where your luck starts to swindle down.

AARs might not have what u wan. U can ask. If they dont have, u need go Apple website to order. No such thing as AAR order for u.

SE = S5 internals without S4/5/6 features (ECG, always on display etc etc)

Prefer to test the solo loop in the shop rather than print out the measuring tool.

When S1/2 before release, S0 price was halved (stainless steel at 3.2k dropped to 1.6k range), I got it back then until today...
can't be tempted yet to change as find them all too costly to justify without all the features...

SE probably is a good consideration, if you don expect all the extras in S5/6 going to get enabled any time soon..

it claims to have the same battery as AW5.. not sure how true when display always on is turned off now for SE.

I hv considered se @ 1399 cellular or s5 @ 1699 gps. Nowdays must scan qr. too lazy to write down name every time. Cannot leave ip behind. Decided to go for s5 gps for the aod and 'future' ecg. Good or not my decision?

I plan to get Nike sports loop for both casual and sports use, is the loop reliable with daily on and off use? I read someone commented that the loop’s velcro became weak after few years.

By the way, the battery life of 18 hours makes the sleep monitor useless. Obviously you will be wearing it on the day time and charge it at night.

Idk izzit watchOS7 or just reviewer’s usage, hours b4 sleep, Watch reminds them to charge it b4 going to bed. So lets say ur standard sleeping time is 10pm, it will remind u to charge @ 7pm.

Google around it is just 18 hours of battery life. Even it reminds you at 7pm to charge, you will not have enough time for next day. By 3-4pm the battery dry. Unless you purposely wake up in the morning to charge the watch which obviously disturbing your sleep. 😅

But problem is the only power adapter i have from Apple is from my aging iphone 6s.

Boleh. I’ve been using my computer’s USB port to charge my Watch instead. No problem to use anything to charge your Watch. Plug in TV’s USB port also can, as long got enough power.

Yesterday morning. Around 9am. Maybe because color I took peach strap looks like a little pink with gold bezel. Not many buy this color perhaps. I bought this to surprise wife actually.
