By now I have heard and saw many bad comment on Mahsa for several issue. I don't know if is that true or not and I am a little worried about my following study in Mahsa now XD😂. Can some tell me more about how worst is Mahsa and am I doing the right choice for my Uni life?
(I feel like I am lost right now😂😂😂)

MAHSA isn't in the top 5 of the best medical unis within Malaysia.

If that is as far as your parents' bank balance and grades can take you, then MAHSA is fine.

Top 5 private medical unis in Malaysia (the running joke is whereby their graduates don't just end up overcrowding the market as GPs but get opportunity to specialize): -

IMU, Perdana, Taylor's, Monash, Newcastle (honorary mentions: UTAR + UCSI + AIMST)

To add:

There appears to be higher rate dropouts of childish, lack of attention span students in places like MAHSA vs. for example IMU, Perdana.

I guess it traces back to the fact that medical students get to enter MAHSA's MBBS as long as they have above average grades + thick wallets, whereas IMU you need stellar grades (equi. 1A*2A above for GCE) + thicker wallets.

I have been there and survey for the environment before and overall I think Mahsa contains all the basic accommodations (like medical lab ang others) and the course is basically just same as others.

I admit that Mahsa accept anyone that meet the average grades into their MBBS course but the main reasons that IMU Perdana Taylor Monash Newcastle aren't on my list is because mainly I think my family's can't afford the fees(those uni's MBBS courses are about 500k).

By the way, it doesn't affect my study as long as I stick to the classes and material given by tutor right?

it won't. Maybe the occasional verbal abuse attacking your alma mater from your superiors during housemanship. I am unsure of the opening of doors for govt sponsoring your masters for mediocre uni graduates. Tend to be less. Ultimately it still depends on your clinical competence, and it is directly correlated to your alma mater.

Just don't be surprised if you dropped out early. Medicine isn't easy. Grade of acceptance may be average but do not expect it to be much easier course than other unis.

So, that's mean it won't be a major matter in my studies but it will still affect my overall reputation during my housemanship right(I mean those senior will kinda dislike/ be cold-shoulder to inter like us right)? I had heard one senior (from MAHSA) before that he had been asked by another senior doctor about which instituition he graduated from and the senior doctor was kinda like "I heard that MAHSA is not good right?"to him sweat.gif sweat.gif . Yet, I didn't heard more about Uni will affect one to apply for master(is it really true wink.gif ). But I think I still can apply for PTPTN to study for master if I can in the future?

Yeah, I have been thinking for several months (approximately 6 months sweat.gif sweat.gif ) about "can I really overcome those problems( stress, academic and test)" and my family have been giving many examples of their peers' children giving up MBBS after only their first year. But for me, I think I have the responsibilities to carry on no matter what cuz this is the path I choosed!

Go for their open days etc.

there are various other UNI offering MBBS courses as well, go to some education fair etc and find out about them. They all will grant you a MBBS degree and allow you to get HO placement in Malaysia.

A good uni and course structure will better prepare you to graduate and work in the field. Nevertheless, its a forever learning thing for healthcare field.

As long as you have the right attitude to learn and give the best to your patients, you will be fine.
