Like the title suggest. I’m having a hard time deciding between a200 and a250.

I’m a town driver, I maybe travel long distance less than 20 times a year. The power of the a250 is so tempting but I doubt I need it most of the time. Other than the power, any other benefits of getting a250 over the 200?

I guess traffic lights got advantage ... Anyway, if around town and outstation, A200 cukup.

A200 and A 250 have a lot of different.

a250 come with merc engine and multilink rear suspension vs a200 renault engine n torsion beam rear setup .....

a250. power > all

206 for a200 and 238 for a250

I also feel it’s enough. Just that after feeling the a250 power I’m kinda on the fence.

Yes this is my no.1 concern. The Renault collab engine and the normal suspension on the a200. I’ve booked the a250 but thinking if I should get the 200 instead

if u have family i think a250 is better choice, rear seat not really comfortable compare with multilink ... prices different around 20-23%, yah hard choice but already go so far for mercedes why not choose better spec n true merc ....

The prices is not a big difference....

That additional 40k is only like few hundred at most each month of loan. Get a250 and enjoy a true merc

A200 is for people who just wants to drive the cheapest of the brand's model and be proud of it only

A250 is the choice, also extra power doesn't mean only use for highway or must drive fast, the key thing is when you want it you got it concept
out of topi a bit....why not consider W205 rather W177? W205 material quality is much more better comparing W177

Outgoing model leh. 6 yrs already. Spyshots of W206 are lurking on the net so might as well just wait.

Btw the price difference is small to justify going for the lower end variant.

W205 just did the refresh FL on C200 AMG line this year with 2.0L engine.
RRP for C200 AMG line just RM251k comparing A250 AMG line RM259k in MBM website.

W206 not officially in the market and take sometime to come in MY....instead of keep on waiting for 'new' model, you could just enjoy now

A200 is running on a 1.3L Renault/Nissan engine. Rear torsion beam suspension like those Vios, City, Yaris alike

A250 with a proper Mercedes 2.0L engine. Rear multi-link suspension.

A200 definitely more than enough for city driving.

But, A250 is for SHOWOFF. Lol. Ya, majority 3 star owner not drive like rempit like myvi owner. but still they get at least A250. I even bump A45amg drive leisure.

Its a status tbh. U will definitely not need A250 power, but the badge is something liao.

And malaysia people, u knowla, A200,B200,C200,E200 all underpowered according to them. They will talk, "Aiyo this car drive slow because it cannot go fast", at the same time redline their axia 1.0 just for keep up with all this base conti.

The diamond grille is hngghhh. But of course need to fight the steoretype of malaysia people "C200 is slow", kek.

0-100 in 7.1s is decent enough loo. Faster than most cars out there

A250 or just buy Mazda 3 HB

Im driving A200, and im satisfied with the power

It gives me the power when i want it and thats enough for me

Yes we are same, driving in town and sometime highway driving

For long distance, i will drive my B200.

A200 are for those who wants the badge, because it is mechanically cost cutting (1.3 turbo and rear torsion beam), and a big three pointer star that shouting "I am Mercedes".. thats show off.. its like buy badge and the car is a gift.. the price is just too high for the mechanical that it given.

A250 is show off with proper mechanical inside the car, better engine and with a proper premium suspension that justify the price to pay.

go with at least a250, if got budget a45. a200 will not satisfy u in long run. it is just 1.3 turbo charged

Depending what you want, generally A250 much better lo.

We were in the cross road to choose A200 and A250 for my wife months ago, power wise, A250 is a clear winner although A200 really not bad.

She end up going for A200 as she dislikes the A250 seat

Overall, she is happy with it as the size suits her

So, depending what you want, town drive A200 is more than enough

Don’t have family yet but planning one soon in the next 2-3 years. I’m considering the c200 but I love the interior of the a. Anyway I already paid booking for a250.

That’s why lo. Was actually considering c. But next year going to change new model so might as well get the a, since I already fall in love with the interior

Budget is around 250k. A250 is well within budget as I got fleet discount. Just thinking if I should save the extra 30k or not. But after calculating. Only 300 diff in monthly I don’t see the point anymore

btw, just come back from plus highway. City hogging my accord 2.4 for more than 10 minutes, but once I gib way for cla, honda city too my shock also gib way. I tot want cla to tailgate honda city. kek. never know city fast fast gib way.

In malaysia, brand is no 1. And that cla is cla180. not even cla200. But people treat them like a king. no point buy accord 200horsepower if people not even give u way. better settle with almost same price c200 pre reg.

I’ve noticed this as well and it happens quite frequently. When I’m driving my sister’s Honda people tend to not give way on fast lane. Driving golf or merc before you go near them they already go to middle lane automatically

Ya, no doubt, I believe due to they feel conti is superior brand. While if use same brand even different class(city vs accord), they will still think, "meh, we are the same, dont want to gib u way".what a mentality.

If people ask my advice, I will say get c300 instead of type r, even type r people not give way. Ya mang. not lie, branding is king in malaysia. See youtube video, FA fk8(malaysia type r) always got interrupt when speeding due to branding. If he drive c300 I believe he can maintain 180kmh all the way. while use Honda a lot of slowdown amd accelerate back.

Another factor is, conti is damn fast nia. A200 163hp can touch 226kmh, If japanese car, 163hp dont even can touch 226kmh.



Even at 226kmh, still refine weih. What an engineering.

I think it's the taller gearing & shorter final drive ratio on the Merc & contis in general. Europeans mostly drive on highways.
