Captain America star Chris Evans gave netizens something to talk about (and gawk at) over the weekend when he posted a seemingly innocent Instagram story of him playing the popular game, Heads Up.

Evans, 39, shared the video with his 5.7 million followers but he forgot to edit the final bit (pun unintended) of the clip which revealed the gallery of videos and photos on his phone... including one featuring a penis!

The actor, realising the faux pas, quickly deleted the clip, but you know how the Internet works – SCREEN CAPTURE.

Needless to day, that sent netizens into a tizzy; "Chris Evans" is the No.1 trending topic on Twitter and Google Trends after the photo was shared and went viral.

Evans' fans are coming to the his rescue, encouraging netizens not to re-share or post the photo online. Some went further as to post videos and photos of Evans' dog Dodger as well as other wholesome content on the actor to drown out the nude photo.

His Avengers co-star Mark Ruffalo also took to Twitter to console Evans. Well, sorta.

“@ChrisEvans Bro, while Trump is in office there is NOTHING you could possibly do to embarrass yourself. See ... silver lining, ” Ruffalo tweeted.
