During start-up....just hit the DEL key. Ctrl+F1 only works when you are in the bios and need to change the ram timings.

As for bios...i believe urs is F4 bios.....try updating to F5M....It's still beta but its so far the best bios up to date.

I am sure your proc can go higher then that....2.4 to 3.15 is just a mere 700Mhz. But make sure u have good cooling. On air, try to stay below 1.55v. Without good cooling, at 1.55v produce quite a lot of EMI.

Try bumping up the voltages and FSB 3 Mhz at a time...until you reach a sweet spot.

54C wat? Idle or load? Whether to go for WC is really up to you. For P35-DQ6, you have to disable C1E and TM2 in bios to maintain your clock speed.

Dude, you can afford a quad core, a P35-DQ6, and an 8800GTS, but you can't even afford some 3rd party heatsink?
Owh god, dude, get some 3rd party heatsink la, at least CM GeminII.

You're killing your processor. shakehead.gif

A heatsink and a watercooling is two different things.

If you have at least another RM600 in hand, then you're worthy enough to go watercooling.
If you're not, just stick to Aircooling heatsink.

Can you see on top of your proessor there's one aluminium round block with an intel fan on top of it?
That's a "heatsink".

That's the stock heatsink that came from intel.
If you're on stock speed, yes it's good enough for you, but when it goes to overclocking, i'd suggest you to get a 3rd party aftermarket heatsink such as CM GeminII at a price tag of RM150 at Lowyat Plaza.

But if you have another RM600 in your hand, then you can go straight to watercool your processor.

Which one you choose is up to you. smile.gif

Wah, on stock speed it goes to 47°C eyh? sweat.gif
That's quad core for you. sweat.gif

My advise is if you love your processor no matter you run on stock speed or overclocked, get an aftermarket heatsink for your processor to cool it down.

so, does watercooling have better effect then heatsink? how long do they need to setup it?

i got rm600, but with my current speed of 350FBU , should i get heatsink instead??

oh ya i tone down my FBU-266, when i want to overclock back, could it go straight to 350 back?

Added on August 11, 2007, 4:46 pmmy highest core is 45 now

Yes, but not those watercooling kit that you get at Lowyat Plaza, those are crap.
If you're serious in watercooling, i can list up the item that you should get and where to get it.

You won't get a good watercooling kit at Lowyat plaza.
What you'll get at lowyat plaza is those crappy CoolerMaster & Thermaltake watercooling kit that is not even better than an RM200 aircooling heatsink.

If you're willing to spend another RM600, then i'll list up what item and where to get. smile.gif
