R1KG001 is the latest firmware released for K800i/K790i. I've upgraded my previous R1KC001 firmware for my K800i. Well, it actually makes the Bluetooth connectivity works better & at the same time saves the battery life too.

Video playback is not as laggy as b4 even the video previews has been removed in R1KC001. 3G video calls is much smoother as compared to previous firmware. That's what i've experienced from upgraded firmware.

I also forgotten to update here as well, i've been using K800i Allure Brown for the past 1 year plus. I'm very happy with it & still using it as main phone after purchased K850i.

My current K800i's firmware is R1KG001 & SEUS couldnt seems to get my phone's firmware updated as it shows that it's already been updated with the latest firmware.

I was wondering whether after i upgraded my current firmware to the latest one, is it still possible for me to write & type in PinYin chinese sms? At least can view chinese sms with the K800i la. I appreciate some feedbacks from u members here.

Hmmmm..... where can i actually download the latest FW for my K800i then? If i'm not mistaken, it should be the R8BF003 APAC rite? Hmmm...... do i need special cables in order for me to flash the FW myself using custom packs? What are the custom packs available for free downloads? Mind to share with me buddy coz i'm still a noob in FW flashing for SE K800i.

Hey guys, I wanna ask is it the firmware problem when my trusty old K800i can't actually assigned different ringtones to my contacts available in my phone?

My current firmware in my K800i is R1KG001. Is it a freaking old firmware?

I've tried reset the K800i of mine for twice & the same problem still persists. I'm trying to get it reflash with latest firmware if possible. So what's the latest firmware for K800i currently? Mind to share?

I know that the firmware that I'm having now in my trusty K800i is too freaking old. I was wondering how to flash it to the latest firmware without the need to send it to phone repair technicians even though I've few. I would like to DIY with minimal fuss by using the original USB data cable if possible.

Aiks...... my K800i is an AP distributor set previously. Dammit..... that means I'll need either to send it to phone technician to reflash it or using XS++ to flash its firmware to the latest version? Any other alternative? I understand that XS++ requires "courage" for the phone owner to reflash its firmware right?

Well, I've tried it few times edi since early this year but to no avail. It pops up a message saying that my phone's software is up to date. Sigh..... any other alternative to flash it firmware to the latest one besides using SEUS?

I managed to reflashed my fricking old firmware R1KG001 on my K800i to the latest one but the problem now is my ROM chip koyak. That's the main reason why I couldn't save new contacts & set specific ringtones to my contacts. Costs of replacing new ROM chip is RM90 but I dropped the offer from my friend as I'll purchase a new phone to replace my trusty old K800i Allure Brown. I purchased it brand new back in year Feb 2006 & it works perfectly for the past 3 years!
