Guys,im planning to buy dis great phone but i need to know sumthing.I surfed wikipedia n it says dat dis HP can be used as a 3G modem. Is it true?does dat mean dat,if i subscribe to 3G,i can connect da HP to a laptop,n can surf da net using my laptop at any 3G coverage area?
The phone has a standard minimum user-available internal memory capacity of 64 MB. The external memory capacity can be extended by using a Memory Stick Micro M2, intended to support both the camera and the media player function of the phone. The phone can be connected to a computer for data transfer and recharging by using either the built-in Bluetooth wireless or the supplied USB data cable, which connects to the phone using Sony Ericsson's proprietary FastPort connector, which is located on the bottom of the phone. The phone can also be used as a Bluetooth or USB GPRS/3G modem.

Of course it can. I've been used it as modem almost a year now. i'm heavy internet user. But what i discover about this phone, when you used it as modem for a long period let say more than 15hours, sometimes it will DC itself and refuse to connect. Not because of the Celcom/Maxis 3G/gprs line. it is the phone itself. You need to put it into rest first about 1-2hours and start again. maybe the new firmware will not cause this but i refuse to upgrade since is already satisfied with this one. Use usb cable is better than bluetooth because the connection last longer in usb cable. The phone has a standard minimum user-available internal memory capacity of 64 MB.
