How is the maintenance like for this car? Thinking to get one second hand for weekend drives/ for gf to drive incase she needs to use a car..

Rented from socar for 3 hours, costs us about 200 bucks ++ for 3+++++++ hours drive include excess mileage

Damn it's so fun to drive lol. Totally underestimated from the Outlook, I bash the mini so much but this one drive really changed my mind.
0-240 is easy.. Which is about the same performance with the A250.. But cheaper than the a class in terms of secondhand price. It has subtle exhaust pops as well!! Unlike the A250 which doesn't have pops lol

Interior quality feels similar with A class (obviously with BMW DNA).


So, easy to maintain this car? Won't be a daily driver! Because of how uncomfortable it is to drive in the city jam lol. But incase gf needs a car she can use it la..

Ok nice car easy to maintain. Countryman also equitable.

Easy maintenance car. Fun to drive.
But space is a bit of a concern and the interior my god everything so plasticky....and rounded here rounded there....

Despite all this still considering mini countryman as wife loves it. Probably be getting it by next year

is there a huge difference in driving expereince between the usual Mini and Mini S?

Normal mini is 3cyl 1.5 turbo, mini s is 2.0 turbo, best is the JCW mini

Maintenance.. Service centre Chg brake pad will need to change the blade... That's the only thing I don't like..

That is the problem. Pandu axia. Then upgrade to suv or sivik ketam tebu. Then complain makan minyak.

1. If you have TIME and MONEY , Yes MINI is fine .
2. Easy to maintenance? i would say yes because we have more and more third party conti car repair workshop now .
3. Depends on modal of MINI and type of engine . Below 2014 its PRINCE engine which are the N series . They have common problems such oil leak , shock absorber, water pump etc. would cost you major fix about 50k millage .. major fix usually around within 5k
4. If you love MINI you will definitely ignore all these reliable or not . Because lets be honest MINI is a lifestyle you love MINI because of the style . Reliable budget wise no.

Mini, if buy new, is great as long as under warranty.

Will have small electrical issues but warranty will cover. Waste 1-2 hours at center only. Your main expense during that time will be brake pads and tyres. Also, the interior may look nice, but it’s not exactly put together well. After a while, a lot of plastic rattling sounds. Similar to French cars in that regard.

After warranty ends, problems start and maintenance/ parts costs sykrocket.

Basically it’s the same as any German car. Never plan on keeping it for longer then the parts warranty period.
